Would you like to support Cults?
You like Cults and you want to help us continue the adventure independently? Please note that we are a small team of 4 people, therefore it is very simple to support us to maintain the activity and create future developments. Here are 3 solutions accessible to all:
- ADVERTISING: Disable your ad blocker.
- DONATE: Make a donation via Ko-Fi Donate
- WORD OF MOUTH: Invite your friends to come, discover the platform and the magnificent 3D files shared by the community!
Sharing and downloading on Cults3D guarantees that designs remain in makers community hands! And not in the hands of the 3D printing or software giants who own the competing platforms and exploit the designs for their own commercial interests.
Cults3D is an independent, self-financed site that is not accountable to any investor or brand. Almost all of the siteβs revenues are paid back to the platformβs makers. The content published on the site serves only the interests of its authors and not those of 3D printer brands who also wish to control the 3D modeling market.
Hi, I just purchased this model, and was getting it ready to print, when I noticed a small problem.
The jaw is sloped downward, creating a section that will be printed in mid-air. without supports in this area, this will not print correctly, and can cause all levels of chaos with the rest of it. I'm not saying you need to fix it, but you might augment your instructions to note that it does require support in this one area.
Otherwise: Great model!
Thanks so much for the feedbackβit's really appreciated!
This was actually my first articulated 3D design, so I completely understand what you mean about the jaw angle causing an unsupported area. Iβll update the listing to mention that supports are needed there so others donβt run into the same issue.
Iβm not able to go back and fully redesign this version right now, but Iβd be happy to share another, improved model I made about a year later. Itβs similar in style but prints more cleanly. If youβd like it, I can send it to you for free as a thank-you for the helpful feedback!
I'd definitely give that a check if you like. And no worries, these things do happen. It looks really good for a first btw. Can't wait until I'm at the point I can design my own stuff myself!
