Motorola Razr Gameboy Case

This case uses a cheap $5 dollar bluetooth controller - the ShanWan q36 from aliexpress, to transform your motorola razr into a gameboy styled handheld. Works great for emulators and games.

Tested with Motorola Razr 2024 and 2024 Plus.

To assemble you will need 8 m3x5mm heatserts and 8 m3x6 bolts.

1. You will need to remove the faceplate from the shanwan q36, I normally use a knife to pry up at the top of the controller, between the shoulder buttons. Once it has started to come off I switch to a small screwdriver to work it around the controller prying as I go.

2. I then use hotglue to secure the rubber button membranes to the pcb so they do not move around during assembly.

3. Insert your heatserts into the case and controller plate.

4. Insert buttons into case, then lay controller over top of them. Insert the controller plate next and it should position the controller correctly aligned with the buttons.

5. Screw the controller plate down, then install the backplate.

6. With the back plate installed, insert the trigger extensions through the front of the case, passing through entirely to the back.

7. Trigger buttons should press onto trigger extensions. Friction fit, should snap into place if printer/filament tolerance is good.

If trigger extensions do not snap fit into case I find a pair of nail clippers helps to trim a tiny bit off until they fit correctly, they can be slightly lose, the buttons should hold them firmly in place once installed.

If trigger buttons do not snap onto extensions, a flathead screwdriver can be shoved and wiggled into the buttons holes to give additional room. If too loose then a drop of super glue can be used.
