update 16/2/2020-some pics of finished model.

While looking for references for the Element Fire I stumbled across a few pics of Ripley and an Alien not actually killing each other . .and I was HOOKED! So here they are in a loving mood . . enjoy.

Alien
15 pieces plus a separate head more suitable for FDM print.(12 STL files Total)
Some joints are slot/pinned and others are a ball/socket design to allow you to easier join/line up parts.

Ripley
3 pieces an easy construction, join both legs then attach torso of choice.
3 torso variant’s with this one . so take you pick before construction. .(5 STL files Total)
Download should be 18 files including the Assembly instructions

All of the parts are orientated to print base ready to print with your favorite slicer . .

All parts are cut files to fit build plate of small resin printers like the Photon, examples in images SLA orientated for least support and strongest print orientation, as seen in the images.
These orientations work for FDM printing but you may find a better orientation that reduces support.
There is no base as the model is designed to stand on its own when fully assembled.
All the parts have been printed and developed to print, A lot of prints have been produced to get the figures corrected and fault free.
The model is 1/6 scale and is 320mm to top of Alien head. Ripley 303mm making her 1.82mtrs tall in real life . . !
Why cut into many smaller parts I have been asked?
1. If you try and assemble this, then paint it . .it would be nearly impossible to get into all the areas especially between Ripley and the Aliens chest, head etc. . !
2. Smaller parts not only allow for Resin print at full scale, but also allow individual parts to use less supports than one larger part on FDM printers
3. As I design/sculpt I already have in mind how it will split into parts and design these as I go. Trying them in slicers to see the effect of the design on supports.

All parts have been printed and I will post pics later when painted . . ENJOY

3D printing settings

Do not hollow Alien Vents, center back horn or tail partB. If printing Resin.
All other parts where hollowed at 2.1mm in Resin printing.
All parts FDM were print tested at 0.16 speed 50
