3D model description

This one is my favourite character from 1980's Flash Gordon, General Klytus, Emperor Ming's right hand man and head of the secret police. General Klytus has been in many fights and lost the use of his right arm which is encased (or replaced) in gold. HIs amazing black robes are fringed in gold.

This one is a labour of love and I've spent months trying to get him right. I've had to make some compromises. He is fully articulated, but once his cloak is added only his arms move. If you would prefer a more nostalgic look you can put a fabric or plastic cloak on him (aka Star Wars) and I've included the pattern. Either way, he is designed so the head gets glued on and isn't moveable because of the long hood that hangs down his back. His cloak separates down the back so it can go over the shoulder armour. I used the boil and stretch method to get a really good fit but if you're using regular resin then sanding gets the best results.

His chest plate and shoulder pads in the film are decorated in fine shiny black beads. The best way to reproduce this is to use a black sparkly nail varnish.

BTW. Anyone have any good ideas for accessories?

3D printing settings

I print mine on a Elegoo 2P with excellent results. After some research I found that Resione M58 rsins are the best for action figures. The resin is more flexible and allows for heating and bending . It also doesn't leave a white powder when joints are rubbed together.
If you're using regular resin then I suggest filing down the joint nobbles so the joints don't have to stretch as far.
