Makeβs description
This took roughly 9 to 10 hours of printing. Another hour of sanding and prep, and about 16 hours to paint. It's only my second large scale print and paint job and I've still got a lot to learn. I didn't wash some of the parts adequately so I lost some detail in places like the back of the boots, the inner left thigh, and the back plate. I've since reprinted this model and given it 35 to 40 minutes in the wash and they've come out perfectly.
I remodeled the base to make it easier to print, prep, and paint. Also created a large hollow underneath to save resin. Final base used ~135ml of resin at 175% scale vs over 200ml of resin for the original base. I unfortunately had a minor failure at the front of the base because of inadequate supports on my part. Lesson learned!
