Shelf drilling guide 5mm

Here's a guide I've used several times to make small pieces of furniture.

The first version was only in print and unfortunately the plastic around the holes was quickly worn away with the drill bit.

I therefore added a small scrap metal tube with an external diameter of 8 and an internal diameter of 5, and it's been holding for several years now.

To install the tubes, I cut them to the right length, made a slight bevel to facilitate installation and slightly heat the tube with a soldering iron ( if it is too hot the plastic melts too much around and will shift the hole from its axis.

To use it, I place the guide on the floor, make the first holes and then use the rods as a guide to shift it upwards.

I don't use the angle to get to the edge of the furniture because I don't find it practical. I still put it in the files if you want to use it I advise you to put it flat side "panda" against the furniture.

If I had to do it all over again, I'd use petg to simplify tube installation.
