AURA RIPPLE – Dual Shade Table Lamp | PETG + PLA | 4-Part STL

RIPPLE is a modern sculptural table lamp designed for FDM 3D printing.

Its distinctive vertical wave geometry creates an architectural silhouette while a dual-shade lighting system produces a soft, warm and dimensional glow.

The design consists of 4 separate printable parts:

• Base
• Outer Shade
• Inner Diffuser Shade
• Top Cover

The prototype shown in the photos was printed using a translucent PETG outer shade combined with a salmon-colored PLA inner diffuser. This combination allows the external shell to transmit light while the internal shade modifies and softens the color of the illumination.

The base and top cover were printed in PLA.

Unlike traditional Vase Mode lamps, the shades are designed as thin printable structures using standard FDM printing settings.

The model may also be scaled depending on your printer and lighting hardware.

Different colors can be combined to create unique lighting effects.

LIGHTING

Use LED lighting only, preferably a low-temperature LED bulb.

Do not use incandescent or halogen bulbs because excessive heat may damage or deform printed plastic parts.

Electrical components, bulb, socket and cable are not included with the digital files.

Light or warm colors work especially well as an internal diffuser.

The prototype uses a salmon-colored PLA diffuser to create a warmer light.

Infill: 15–20%

Supports: Only if required by your slicer

Printer tolerances vary.

Before printing the complete lamp, verify the fit of the components and adjust XY compensation or scaling slightly if necessary.

The model was designed for FDM printing and tested as a physical lamp prototype.
