3D model description
This is a functional storage case based on the Original Pokeball. All of the pieces print in place with no supports and snap together after printing, no glue or fasteners are required. You do need to have your printer reasonably dialed in for everything to assemble smoothly.
This Pokeball can be printed and assembled to be used as wide open storage, or assembled with different types of storage inserts. I have included the STL's for any available inserts, and will add more as I create them. Currently there is one insert, which is designed to hold Nintendo Switch Games (16) & Micro SD Cards (8).
There are currently 5 main variations of this Pokeball that you can print:
- Original Pokeball
- Original Great Ball
- Original Master Ball
- Original Heavy Ball
- Original Ultra Ball
**Note: I did originally release a 'spring-loaded' version, but after testing the 3D printed spring component it became obvious it wasn't a good long-term solution. I am working on a design with a metal spring, but wanted to get this version out in the meantime.
**This design is uploaded with a non-commercial license. Purchasing this file does not grant you the right to sell commercially.

Printing Info:
- FDM or Resin: FDM
- Scaling: Not too sure how it will function if scaled smaller. Everything should fit fine if scaled up, but scaling down will cause issues with the hinge.
- Supports: None
- Infill/Perimeters: I just used 10% infill with 2 perimeters, but I would use extra perimeters for more strength.
- Nozzle Size: 0.4
- Layer Height: 0.2
Printing & Assembly
This Pokeball prints in separate pieces and everything press fits together after printing. Please refer to the photo gallery for assembly instructions, I have created graphics showing the steps to put it together.
