Bird feeder

Made with 3d printer, CNC, solid teak wood and compact laminate

The front and rear panels are made of 8 mm compact laminate, but can also be made of 8 mm marine plywood. Cutting is performed using an RS-CNC32.

The support plate is made of 20 mm thick teak, and a recess is made to accommodate a stoneware dish or saucer, the diameter and depth of which will depend on the size of the dish.

4 crosspieces receive an 8 mm teak roof, which is attached to the aluminum tubes with hooks. The roof panels are bonded with an exterior multi-material mastic.

Ridge caps and hooks are made of PLA or PETG.

Ridge hooks are not glued.

It's imperative to leave some play in width between the roof panels and the ridges, which will compensate for variations in the wood.

1 plastic dowel diameter 6 mm length 50 mm to connect the ridges (or aluminium tube diameter 6 mm).
