V2 737 Tiller
A Decade of Innovation now Delivered as STEP CAD Files
Ten years after the first 737 Tiller set the benchmark for realism, Version 2 elevates every aspect of the design. This updated release provides native CAD files in STEP format, giving builders maximum flexibility for CNC manufacturing, machining, custom modifications, or integration into existing cockpit projects.
Why This Version Matters:
Authentic Mechanical Feel
The V1 spring mechanism has been replaced with a robust gas strut, offering smooth, progressive resistance and precise self-centring.
Hall‑Sensor Accuracy (Potentiometer‑Free)
Using a high‑resolution Hall sensor ensures long‑term durability, no mechanical wear, and consistently clean input signals. With this CAD, you can easily change the design to a potentiometer if required.
Engineering‑Optimised Redesign
V2 is structurally stronger, mechanically cleaner, and simpler to assemble. Ideal for builders looking for a professional-grade mechanism rather than a hobby‑grade printed solution.
Direct Fit for 737SS & 737DS Sidewalls
Designed specifically to integrate cleanly into 737SS and 737DS sidewall systems for a realistic cockpit environment.
What You Get:

Compatibility
Simulator use: MSFS, MSFS2024, X‑Plane, P3D and any USB interface accepting an analogue axis.
Physical fit: Native to 737SS and 737DS printed sidewalls (or your own custom frames using the STEP files).
Performance & Technical Notes
Recommended Gas Strut Range:
100N–150N for standard builds.
200N is the maximum recommended for use with any custom-fabricated (non‑printed) parts, as it significantly increases the load on the mechanism.
Sensing:
Hall sensor + magnet arrangement, providing maintenance‑free, contactless precision.
Fabrication:
Since this release uses CAD STEP files, you may produce parts using:
CNC machining
Resin/metal printing
High‑strength industrial printing
Custom modifications
Usage Context
Perfect for:
Builders are creating metal/mechanical versions of the tiller
Cockpit designers integrating hardware into custom aluminium or MDF sidewalls
Users who prefer CAD‑level control instead of traditional 3D‑printer STLs
Important Notes
This product contains CAD files only; no STL files are included.
The mechanism is designed for simulator use only, not for real aircraft.
Some fabrication methods (e.g., CNC milling) require proper tolerancing per your machine's capabilities.
Originality & Inspiration
The V2 Tiller is a complete re‑engineering of the iconic original design released a decade ago.
Thanks to early supporters on Patreon, the refined mechanism, sensor layout, and installation workflow have been highly validated by real cockpit builders.
