Strait of Gibraltar 3D Relief

This is a 3D relief model of the Strait of Gibraltar, showing parts of Morocco, Spain and of course Gibraltar.

The model includes:

Three different topographies, two with the text "Strait of Gibraltar" in larger and smaller text, and one without any text.

A wall frame with holes on the back for easy hanging on a wall.

Merged STL files that combine the topography and frame into a single printable file.

The last photo shows an example of another island I have printed and painted "artistically". The frame and relief were printed separately to make painting easier, and after painting then glued together.

Much can be said about the "Strait of Gibraltar", but one vivid image that comes to mind is the intense scene from the greatest U-boat movie ever made, Das Boot. Against overwhelming odds, they miraculously survive their perilous passage through the heavily guarded strait in what seems like an almost suicidal mission.
