2017-2023 Duramax L5P Budget Cold Air Intake

Stop overspending on aftermarket cold air intakes! I built this custom, 3D-printable intake because I was bored and wanted to get more turbo spool noise out of my truck—and it definitely worked.

I am currently running this custom intake setup for my daily driving.

  • Not Engineered: I am not an engineer. Install and use this custom part at your own risk.
  • No Free Horsepower: Custom intakes do not add horsepower or torque. Only a proper engine tune changes performance figures.
  • Warranty Warning: Modifying your vehicle with aftermarket or custom 3D-printed parts will void your factory warranty.
  • Print Failure Risk: If you hear any cracking noises while tightening your hose clamps, discard the part and reprint it. Foreign plastic debris entering a turbo will cause absolute engine failure.

📦 Required Components

To complete this intake setup, you will need to source one of the following filters:

  • K&N RU-1005 Universal Filter: High-flow, pre-oiled, washable cotton gauze filter with a 4.5" flange. Available direct from the K&N Store.
  • Alternative Filter Option: You can use any universal performance air filter as long as it has a 4.5" Inside Diameter (ID) Flange.
