FM25-094 Sherman VVSS Tracks T54E1 Type [Lazy Tracks]
The Sherman VVSS T54E1 LAZY TRACKS recreate one of the most aggressive and durable late-war track patterns ever
fitted to the Sherman.
The T54E1 pattern, introduced in 1943, features forged steel chevron shoes with a broad, angled grip
surface—designed to maximize traction on mud, snow, and broken ground while resisting heavy wear.
These all-steel tracks became increasingly common from late 1944 to 1945, especially on vehicles exposed to
harsh terrain or long-distance operations.
T54E1 tracks saw widespread use in the European Theater of Operations—from the Hürtgen Forest and the Ardennes
to the Rhineland and Central Germany campaigns. They also appeared in the Mediterranean, where their durability
was highly valued on rocky Italian roads, and in smaller numbers in the Pacific, particularly on coral and
volcanic ground where rubber pads wore out quickly.
These pre-assembled LAZY TRACKS combine all essential advantages:
the quick installation of vinyl tracks, the crisp, high-definition detail of modern 3D-printed sets, and the r
ealistic, metal-like sag that gives your Sherman an authentic frontline look. Their gentle flexibility ensures
a natural lay over uneven terrain and diorama bases.
For best results, gently warm the tracks in hot water or with a hairdryer before fitting them over rugged
ground relief.
Leave the drive sprocket and idler unglued during test fitting—fix them permanently only after the tracks
are perfectly aligned.
Fits all common 1/35 Sherman VVSS plastic kits using T54E1-type tracks.
