Build a smoother, simpler Boeingâstyle control column for your home cockpit.
This new SCC revision centres on a widely available 75âŻmm OD PVC pipe (replacing the old 82âŻmm spec) to make sourcing easier and assembly faster. The mechanism removes the linear actuator for a cleaner, more robust build, and upgrades sensing to hallâeffect on both the control head (roll) and the base/pitch lane for precise, driftâfree inputs. An optional gasâstrut head delivers a notably improved tactile feel that early testers have praised.
What it is & why it matters
Purposeâbuilt for flight sim: A printable, mechanically sound single control column that brings Boeingâstyle yoke ergonomics to your sim pit without exotic parts or CNC requirements.
Originality in the revision: A groundâup simplification around 75âŻmm PVC, deletion of the linear actuator, and a reshaped control headânow with hall sensorsâfor accuracy and longâterm reliability.
Essential for builders: Fits a 220âŻĂâŻ220âŻmm print bed, uses commonly sourced hardware, and comes with a comprehensive parts & build guideâso you can focus on flying, not guesswork.
Key improvements in this release
75âŻmm OD PVC core (highly requested) for easier sourcing and lighter overall package.
Linear actuator removed â fewer moving parts, simpler assembly, less maintenance.
Hallâsensor control head + hallâsensor pitch lane â smooth, precise, and contactless measurement.
Optional gasâstrut head â markedly better, more realistic feel (widely praised by early builders).
Roll channel damping â accepts up to 2 rotary dampers to tame oscillations and improve centring. (Note: suitable dampers have become harder and more expensive to sourceâsee âLimitations & sourcing notesâ below.)
Refined yoke & controlâhead geometry for fit, serviceability, and feel.
Whatâs included
1) STL/3MF print files for the SCC assembly (yoke, head, base)
2) CAD for all parts including the GAS damper MOD
2)STL print for Gas Damper MOD.

THERE IS NO BUILD OR PARTS GUIDE FOR THE NEW GAS STRUT MOD!
Context of use
Designed for deskâ or cockpitâmounted sim pits and compatible with mainstream PC flight simulators via your preferred USB controller interface.
Ideal for Boeingâstyle setups where a single central yoke is desired, with optional damping and gasâstrut tuning to match personal preference.
Limitations & sourcing notes
Rotary dampers: The specific models used historically are now harder to source and pricier in some regions. The design supports running one, two, or none; feel is tunable; alternatives are noted in the guide.
PVC pipe: Must be true 75âŻmm OD. Regional nominal sizes can vary; verify OD before printing pressâfit components.
Temporary videos: Please use the temporary build videos referenced in the guide until the updated YouTube series is released.
