🔊 APACHE 1800 COMPLETE POLK DB462 BLUETOOTH SPEAKER BUILD SYSTEM
Everything you need to turn an Apache 1800 dry box into a clean, compact, professional DIY Bluetooth speaker system—in one complete digital package.
This bundle combines my three Apache 1800 designs into a single system engineered to work together:
🔋 Apache 1800 Modular Component Mount Insert
🔊 Polk DB462 4×6 Speaker Undermount + Routing Jig
🎨 Low Profile Customizable Speaker Grill
Instead of designing brackets, measuring speaker openings, figuring out component placement and fabricating everything from scratch, this system gives you a tested and repeatable layout for building your own Apache 1800 Bluetooth speaker.
Print the components, install your electronics and speakers, customize the grill, and build it your way.
📦 EVERYTHING INCLUDED
🔋 1. APACHE 1800 MODULAR COMPONENT MOUNT INSERT
The all-in-one interior system organizes the major components of your speaker build into one clean layout.
Features include:
- M12-compatible battery mount
- 1001U amplifier mount
- Integrated LVC mount
- LVC protective cover
- Switch relocation
- Wire management
- Switch/wiring cover
- Built-in storage area
- Modular three-part construction
- Dovetail assembly
- Designed for support-free printing
- Tested in multiple completed speaker builds
The result is a much cleaner interior without having to individually design and mount every electrical component.
🔊 2. POLK DB462 4×6 SPEAKER UNDERMOUNT
The included speaker mounting system is designed specifically around the:
Polk Audio DB462 DB+ Series 4×6 Marine Speaker
The speaker mounts underneath the Apache 1800 panel, providing a clean exterior surface for the included low-profile grill.
The undermount also includes pockets designed for 6-32 nuts, making it easy to secure the speaker and grill using 6-32 hardware.
🛠️ 3. DB462 ROUTING JIG
No guessing where to cut your Apache case.
The included routing jig provides a repeatable method for creating the speaker opening.
Position the jig, drill the mounting holes, and use flat-head 6-32 bolts to secure the routing jig in conjunction with the undermount plate.
After drilling a starting hole, a pattern router bit can be used with the printed template to create the speaker opening.
This is especially useful when building multiple boxes because you can produce consistent openings from one build to the next.
🎨 4. LOW PROFILE CUSTOMIZABLE SPEAKER GRILL
Finish the exterior with the included low-profile DB462 speaker grill.
The grill is intentionally supplied with a blank design, allowing you to use it as-is or customize it to match your build.
Add your own:
- Colors
- Text
- Names
- Logos
- Graphics
- Team themes
- Business branding
- Off-road designs
The grill can easily be painted inside Bambu Studio or another compatible slicer, making it especially useful with AMS / AMS Lite multi-color printing.
🧩 ONE COMPLETE SYSTEM
The biggest advantage of this bundle is that the individual parts were designed to work together.
Inside the Apache 1800:
The modular insert organizes your M12 battery, amplifier, LVC, switch and wiring.
At the speaker opening:
The routing jig helps you create the proper opening for the Polk DB462.
Underneath:
The dedicated undermount securely positions the speaker.
Outside:
The low-profile customizable grill finishes the build.
Instead of piecing together unrelated models from multiple designers, you're starting with components designed around the same complete Apache 1800 speaker build.
🚙 GREAT FOR PORTABLE AUDIO BUILDS
The compact Apache 1800 makes a great platform for portable Bluetooth audio.
This system is ideal for builds intended for:
- SxS / UTV riding
- Camping
- Tailgating
- Boating
- Garage use
- Outdoor parties
- Job sites
- Beach trips
- Sporting events
- General portable audio
The Polk DB462's marine construction also makes it particularly well suited to portable and outdoor speaker projects.
🖨️ DESIGNED FOR 3D PRINTING
The components were designed with practical printing and assembly in mind.
The interior system is designed for support-free printing, and the included files eliminate much of the custom fabrication normally required for a project like this.
For outdoor or vehicle use, PETG, ASA or ABS is recommended over standard PLA.
