Hello; I am interested in your Corner Lock Clip design. I am rather new to printing (1 year, age 77).
What makes the clip flexible??
Do I need to use a special filament material??
To date I have only used PLA and PETG. Neither, imo, are flexible to any extent that I have seen.

Age is just a number, and you are doing fantastic!To answer your questions:What makes the clip flexible?The flexibility does not come from a special material, but from the geometry of the design. The clip uses a very thin printed plastic strip (corner03.stl which is only 1.5 mm thick). When a material like PETG or PLA is printed this thin, it naturally behaves like a flexible spring or a plastic ruler without breaking.Do you need special filament?No special or elastic filament (like TPU) is needed at all!PETG is actually the perfect material for this project. It has great "material memory," meaning it can bend to hold the sheet and will spring back to its original shape without cracking.PLA will also work, but it is more brittle and might lose its springiness or snap over time under constant tension.My Recommendation for you:Go ahead and print it using your standard PETG. For the best results with the flexible clip part (corner03.stl), make sure to use at least 3 or 4 solid wall perimeters in your slicer. Olá!
Entendo o problema que você está enfrentando. As peças roscadas podem variar dependendo da calibração da impressora e do material utilizado, o que pode fazer com que o parafuso fique muito apertado ou que a rosca não se forme perfeitamente.
Para resolver isso, acabei de atualizar o arquivo e adicionei três novas versões de parafuso com folga adicional:
+0,5 mm
+0,6 mm
+0,7 mm
Faça o download dos arquivos novamente e teste essas novas versões. Uma delas deve encaixar perfeitamente na sua impressora.

Você pode tentar fazer um pequeno ajuste direto no fatiador:
Selecione apenas o parafuso.
Desative a escala uniforme (unlock uniform scaling).
Aplique uma leve escala somente nos eixos X e Y (ex: 99%–98%).
Não altere o eixo Z.
Isso aumenta apenas o diâmetro, sem mudar o passo da rosca.
Normalmente já resolve o problema de encaixe 👍

Hi!
This model cannot be scaled, because scaling would change the drill bit housing diameters and the sharpening geometry would no longer be accurate.
This design has always fit standard 115 mm grinders without issues, so it is likely that your grinder’s guard has slightly different dimensions.
If you can send me the exact measurements of your grinder’s disc guard (internal diameter and key reference dimensions), I can make a custom-fit version for your machine.

To switch from ABS to PLA or PETG on your Bambu Lab, you need to change the filament type in Bambu Studio, not only the physical filament.
Select PLA or PETG in the material profile, then unload the ABS and load the new filament from the printer menu (or AMS).
Make sure the temperatures match the selected material.

Ich kann AGDB nur zustimmen. Ich würde empfehlen, die Bohrerschleifschablonen nicht zur Verfügung zu stellen. Es geht damit ein hohes Verletzungsrisiko einher. Das kann auch zu tödlichen Verletzungen führen. Ich bin nur durch Zufall darauf gestoßen. Keine Ahnung ob es da ähnliche Schablonen gibt. Trennscheiben sind hier absolut ungeeignet. Schrubscheiben auch, wenn sie nur an einer Stelle Abtragungen haben.

Yes, it works well with PETG and ABS.
However, I recommend printing it in ABS, as the part needs good mechanical strength and is exposed to temperature during use.
ABS provides better durability and stability in these conditions.

Good question — yes, ABS can have some contraction when cooling, but in this model it’s not necessary to change the dimensions.
The tolerances were designed with 3D printing in mind, and the natural shrinkage of ABS (around 0.5–1%) won’t affect the function or fit of the parts.
Just make sure your printer has a closed chamber or good temperature control, and the result will be perfect.

I'm using a recommended Infill:
Density = 20%
Standard = Lighting, in ABS, but the piece is fragile and the walls are breaking, and it's mandatory to use this Infill? Is there another Infill I can use?

You can definitely use another infill pattern — the "Lightning" infill is optimized for speed, not for strength, so that’s why the part may feel fragile.
For this model, I recommend:
Infill type: Grid or Gyroid
Density: around 20–50%
Walls: at least 3 perimeters (≈1.2 mm)
This combination gives the part excellent mechanical resistance without wasting too much material.
The "Lightning" infill should only be used for visual or low-stress parts.

hi i purchased your attachment and its well designed, but one issue i have is that it does not cut the relief edge at an angle that is lower than the cutting edge its basically sharpening at 90 degrees along the width of the drill bit, you might need to look at your design and slant the guide sleeves at an angle around the circumference and it should then work a treat

This model was originally designed as a print-in-place piece, meaning both parts are already aligned with proper clearance to move after printing — no need to separate them manually. Just slice and print, and then gently loosen the joints after printing. ✅
However, due to your request, I’ve just uploaded a new version with the parts separated – so you can now choose whether to print it assembled or separately. 🧩
