Monster or MAC II Destroid intended for Robotech RPG Tactics, from the Macross/Robotech series
The download includes four different poses; Shooting, Walking, Stairs Deployed, and Spade Deployed
Also included is a Khyron figure that can be posed on the back of the Monster/MAC II
I have included the full model for each pose as a single file, if you want to try printing the whole thing at once
The zip file includes all of the individual pieces for each pose (arm, legs, shoulders, body, cannon, stairs, etc.)
The Shooting Pose has the top cannons raised slightly and spread outward slightly
The legs are spread wide, ready to take the recoil from firing
The arms are also spread wide, like an old west gun-fighter who has drawn both pistols
I made the Walking Pose because I have never seen anyone make a 3D model with the Monster/MAC II actually walking
The right foot is forward and stretched, the left foot is back
The top cannons all point straight forward and level to the ground for easier movement
The Stairs Deployed pose includes the staircase that pilots would use to enter the cockpit through the nose
While this was not on the TV show, it was included in original reference drawings
The legs are both bent to allow the stairs to reach the ground, and you can rotate the torso to make up the difference
The Spade Deployed pose has the stabilizing claw on the underside of the rear extended to the ground
The Spade would be used to stabilize recoil from the Monster/MAC II massive cannons
This was also not on the TV show, but it was included in original reference drawings
The Spade connects to the body on a hinge allowing for flexibility in posing
The Khyron figure is in honor of Episode 32 Broken Heart where Khyron rides on the back of a captured Monster / MAC II
Dressed in his Heavy Infantry armor, he is holding a GU-11 gunpod taken from a defeated Valkyrie and heroically points the way to victory
Khryon doesn't attach to the Monster/MAC II with a peg or tab, so if you want him to be a permanent rider you will need some glue
Also included is a 75mm base. It is huge, and is still just large enough for all Monster/MAC II poses to stand on
Keep in mind that the original base for the Robotech RPG Officer Pod was only 50mm
My Monster/MAC II model only requires 6 steps to glue the pieces together:
1) glue the stabilizing spade to the underside of the body
2) glue the legs to the body
3) glue the forearms to the shoulders
4) glue the shoulders to the body
5) glue the cannons to the body
6) glue the legs to the base
That's it. Done
I did my best to include every bump, groove, recess and decoration that I could based on the original artwork
The shoulders, forearms and legs connect with cylinder pegs allowing rotation, so you can pick how you want them positioned
You can mix and match arms and legs between poses to suit your taste
You can buy 3D prints of this model on Ebay here: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?&_ssn=oatley11009
