Hello, I am making Glareshield Panels, I have a laser engraving machine, but I need a dxf file of text and a 3d file of step without text for cnc engraving, if it can be provided, hope you can send it to my mailbox zcm@wingflash.cn
Thank you very much!
Hello 121ALFA2 =D
Unfortunately I don't work with DXF files and can't provide you that =(
Let me know if I can help you with anything else.

Hi there, seen the previous messages about the korry switches you have used for your own products, would it be possible to send them to me as well please? my email is chris.weir94@gmail.com
Keep up the amazing work :)
Hello HOOKLOADER
Sure, just sent it to your email =D
Regards,
RDDesigns.
i was wondering if you had the other e190 panels, and is the e190 overhead full size?
Hello Jhama
Unfortunately for the E190 I currently only have the Overhead panels avaliable. Yes, they’re 1:1 to the real Overhead size
Let me know if I can help you with anything else =D
Regards,
RDDesgins.
would there be any way to have the other panels done? im building a cockpit and im going to buy the overhead very soon but im going to need the other ones done.
If there’s anything that we can work out that would be amazing because I really need this.
Hello Jhama
Sorry but unfortunately there’s a very low demand by the costumers for the Embraer Panels, for that reason I’ll only be working on modelling the rest of the cockpit after completing the A320 and 737 sets :(
Let me know if I can help you with anything else! =D
Regards,
RDDesigns.
Hi, I really like your a320 overhead models, but I have two questions. My first question is how big are the korry switch cutouts on the panel, and my second question is if it is possible for me to “hire” you to make a full cockpit set as I am in the process of building a full cockpit and I like the quality of your 3d models.
Hello Ranae =)
The korry switch cutouts are 16x16mm square's.
About the full cockpit set, let me know your email so we can discuss further details about it.
Regards,
RDDesigns.
Hi, is there any way that the cutouts can be changed to 19x19 as I have already ordered korry switches with those dimensions. You can contact me at seetheworlda350@ gmail. com . Make sure you get rid of the spaces in the email because if I didn’t put them cults would block my comment.
Thanks,
Eshaan
What are the smallest print table dimensions to be able to print each panel in a "split" version?
Gary
Hello Gary =D
If you're referring to the A320 Overhead panels, the biggest piece of the split version is the bottom part of the Left Side Panel (wich was split in 2 parts), and it measures 209mm x 145mm. You'll be able to print the panels with any bed size larger than 209x209mm.
Let me know if I can help you with anything else.
Regards,
RDDesigns.
Hello, which korry switch do you recommend for your panel. Do you have a tip or an opportunity? Thanks.
Hello Bonobu
I do not sell / have any "official" korry model avaliable, what I usually do when any costumer ask is sent the korry file I used with my panels, wich I got from thingiverse and remixed the design =)
I do have some tips, specially in making the Korry lenses. Just let me know your email and I'll send you some photos and the files of it.
Regards,
RDDesigns.
Can you send me the Korry switches?
maurice9898@googlemail.com
And can u tell me how you make the other switches in the FCU? Push and Pull and other
Hello Maurice =D
Sorry for my delayed response. Sure, I'll send it to your email
Regards,
RDDesigns.
Hello do you have the embraer flight guidance panel in your designs ??
Hey Fer_07
No, Unfortunately I don’t have it :(
Due to the low number of sales and demand for the Embraer E1 panels, I have decided to put the project of producing new panels on hold for the time being.
Let me know if I can help you with anything else! =D
Regards,
RDDesigns.
can i pay for that project? how much would it cost? cheers
Fer
Hello again,
I was wondering wether you used specific screens for the battery voltages and the ADIRS (or anywhere else)
If you did would you mind sending a link of the ones you used? Thanks.
Hello Jeffrey
Sorry for the delayed response. About the ADIRS, there's no need to use a screen for the "on bat" annunciator. I created a sticker and glued in a sheet of 0.5mm PETG to create the display effect.
About the voltage display's, there are 2 options. You can use the same technique and create a fake display with a fixed voltage value (wich is what I did for my Ovhd), or you can use a 3 digit display compatible with mobiflight in order to make a functional voltage annunciator.
I'll be sending the files and links to your email, let me know if I can help you with anything else =)
Regards,
RDDesigns.
KAV simulations now do a sweet custom LCD for this which is what i have to use
Hi,
Have you got the file you could send me for the small korry buttons? My large ones fit but the smaller ones do not :(
Hello David
I do not sell / have any official korry model avaliable, what I usually do when any costumer ask is sent the korry file I used with my panels, wich I got from thingiverse and remixed the design.
Just let me know what is your email and I'll send you that =)

email is davidcollett5@gmail.com and thanks im very new so would have no idea how to remix it just yet
Hi, I have one question. What are the dimensions of GLARESHIELD AIRBUS A320 PANELS
And could I use this project for a CNC engraving machine?
Hello =)
About the glareshield panels, the measurements are:
156 x 90 mm for each Efis panel
260 x 90 mm for the FCU panel
326 x 80 mm for each Warning panel
About the CNC/Engraving, unfortunately this project can only be used with 3D printers. I do not offer any .svg or laser engraving file.
Let me know if you need anything else.
Regards,
RDDesigns.
Would you say its hard to do the entire product for someone with no experience in sim building? And how much did it cost you in total?
Hello =)
Sorry for the delayed response. Answering your question is a bit tricky because it depends on what skills you already have. Putting together this whole overhead panel requires a few things like 3D printing, knowing your way around painting and sanding, having some basic to medium electronics know-how, and getting the hang of Mobiflight software.
When I built my own panel, I only knew the basics of electronics, so I had to learn everything else, which took quite a bit of time (getting the hang of my 3D printer and adjusting everything was probably the toughest part).
So, if you only have experience in one of these areas, it might be a bit of a challenge to make these panels. But it's definitely not impossible and can be a lot of fun, especially if you're into aviation. For folks already familiar with 3D printing and wich have some basic electronics skills, getting the hang of Mobiflight and doing the paint job will be a much smoother ride towards putting the whole overhead together.
About costs, I spent approximately 200-250 dollars to do the entire Overhead (including all material's used like: Filament, switches, leds, paint's, but not the 3D printer) I believe that you can aim on spending (in the worst case something from 300-350 dollars (for the materials).

RDDesigns.
Hello again RDDESIGNS,
I’ve purchased your a320 ultimate kit so I’m printing out the overhead panel. I’ve just come to the HYD-FUEL panel (the big one at the top) but it seems like the right side can’t fit on my printer bed. I am using the split version. Is there anyway you could split the panel a bit further to the middle since the left side is very small.
Thanks for any help.
Hello Jeffrey =)
I just split the file again to better fit your printer. Please let me know if it works for you now
Also, I sent you an email and would appreciate it if you could check it.
Let me know if you need anything else.
Regards,
RDDesigns.
I’ve replied to your email, thanks so much for re-splitting the panel.
Hello RDDESIGNS,
Me and my dad plan to build the 3d printed overheadpanel for the Fenix A320 in MSFS. Now i have actually tons of questions.
1. Is the size 320 x 320 x 385 mm³ for the 3d printing bed enough?
2. Could you maybe send me the link for the korry switches to my Email schwalmliam@gmail.com
3. Can you also tell me which software you used to script everything, which switches etc.
4. How much would all cost? Is there a rough number i can expect for the whole project?
5. And last but not least is there any specific 3D printer recommended? Or anything we should care about?
Best Regards
Lew
Also i forgot to ask how much Filament did you used 1kg, 2kg?
I can answer some of these questions:
I’m not sure from the top of my head, but I’m printing on a smaller bed using the “split panel” files provided when you buy these.
He will send you them soon enough, just let me know if you don’t get them and i can send them to you. The files he sends are scaled up into an oblivion, all you have to do is scale the inside part of the korry down to 1%, if you can’t figure this out let me know and I’ll send you a file that is the correct size.
The software you will use is Mobiflight - it’s a free software and is easy to use once you get the hang of it, no need to code anything. This will be connected to X-Plane or MSFS (I use MSFS).
Cost isn’t an easy thing to say - I’m in the middle of building my Overhead and I’ve currently spent ≈ £150 (Not including 3d printer) and I’m aiming for under £500 for the whole overhead. Trust me you spend more than you think.
As for 3D printer; I use the Voxelab Aquila x2 which is very similar to the popular Ender 3. I’m not the best to ask about this as I’m
A beginner to 3d printing myself. But really any beginner 3d printer should be fine.
No idea on filament as I’ve only just started.
All of the switches and knobs, stuff like that i get off of either Aliexpress or Amazon. Aliexpress has very cheap switches but take ages to arrive. Amazon are more expensive but arrive much quicker. Remember that the switches do add up in price and you’ll be spending hundreds before you know it.
Also; this is a big project so before you start remember that it’s going to take a while and there will be ups and downs but just keep at it because the end result will be worth it.
I’m not the creator of these panels (not talented enough for that) so don’t give me any credit for these panels. I’m just someone in the middle of my Overhead project.
I hope I’ve helped and enjoy the process!
Oh and also I forgot to say, make sure you join the Mobiflight Discord Server. They really are the pros and will help you with anything.
Hello mate thank so you so much! That really helps me a lot. As i am just 15 years old i also was preparing myself for ups and downs anyways i really apreciate your help! And good luck with your project tooo!!!!
👍
Let me know if you have any more question.
Hello CaptainLew08 =D
Sorry for the delayed response, everything Jeffrey said is correct. Let me just complement with some information.
1 - About the bed size, a 320 x 320 x 385mm would be perfect for the job, since the biggest panels are 315mm large you'll be able to print any of them without needing to use the split files and then put the two pieces together (which is a method that also work's pretty well, that's how I did my real Overhead from the pictures, although I recommend you print the panels at once to save yourself some tedious work)
2 - Sure, I'll send you the files right now.
3 - Jeffrey just said it all, go with Mobiflight and join the discord server. After watching some tutorial's you'll see it is a must have software. I love it.
4 - About costs, I spent approximately 200-250 dollars to do the entire Overhead (including all material's used like: Filament, switches, leds, paint's, but not the 3D printer) I believe that you can aim on spending (in the worst case something from 300-350 dollars (for the materials).
5 - About the 3D printer, besides the bed size (which the 320x320mm can save you some work) there's not much to care about.
For the filament, I don't remember exactly, its been a while since I finished my project but I believe it was something about 2kg of transparent PLA for the panel's and 1kg of black PLA for the korry's.
Just let me know if you need anything else, and also thank's Jeffrey for helping with the answers =)
Regards,
RDDesigns.
Alright great thank you so much.
Hi I was wondering if the AIRBUS A320 ULTIMATE KIT can be printed on Ender 3?
Hello Leemddison =)
There are some panels in the Airbus Ultimate Kit that cannot be printed on a Ender 3 (EFIS, FCU and Warning panels, from the Glareshield set). I didn't make a split version of them (wich fits the Ender 3 bed size) until now because no costumer has required it yet, but if you need it, let me know and I'll provide that.
Let me know if you need anything else.
Regards,
RDDesigns.
Hello
I was wondering how you made the korry switch fronts? Did you laser cut them? Or is there a way to 3d print them?
I see most people laser cut them to get them backlit but I don’t have a laser cutter.
Did you use a laser cutter? Or is there a way to 3d print them?
Thanks in advance.
Hey Jeffrey
I bought a sheet of 0.5mm PETG, and used some stickers to make them. The sheet is quite flexible, but when you cut it in tiny square’s (with regular scissors), they become much more harder, so it works pretty well.
I tried 3D printing them but the result was bad. That was the best solution I found for making it without using a laser machine.
Regards,
RDDesigns.
Thanks for the help, where did you buy the stickers?
Hello Jeffrey
I bought a special A4 format film that allows you to make the stickers at home with any conventional printer, but to be honest I wouldn't recommend this method because the stickers end up with the paint being a little "thin" and allow light to pass through even in the black areas of the korry face’s, wich which led me to need to stick one sticker on top of the other on each korry to make it work great.
I believe if you make the sticker’s on a local print shop the result’s would be much better, so that would be my recommendation =D
Hi
Would you be able to share the Kody switch file with me? You can send it me via email - Jeffreyhimsaf@gmail.com
Thanks in advance.
Korry switch* I meant.
Hey Jeffrey
Just sent you the files.
Can you send it to me too? Im gonna buy your product soon im pretty sure
Hello, I have downloaded the boeing 737 overhead panel, everything works fine except the "central panel" file which is much too large for my 30x30 cm printer, could you please send me a "spliter" file.
Best regards Olivier
Hello PFLIMLINOLIVIER.
Sure! Sorry for the inconvenience, I'll be adding the split version of the central panel for you.
Let me know if you need anything else =D
Regards,
RDDesigns.
Hi
Just updated all the files, now all Boeing 737 Overhead panels can be printed on any regular Ender3, or a minimum 235x235mm bed size.
Download the files again and it should work fine for you now =)
Let me know if you need anything else.
Regards,
RDDesigns.
Great, thank you very much for your speed, this file is perfect
You’re welcome =D

RDDesigns.
Another message for you, sorry for the bother; are these panels actually 1 to 1 with the real overhead panel?
I have just printed of the lighting panel (split version) and I noticed that it looked a little small and the slots for the korry switches can only just fit my finger in. I also printed off a korry switch (found on thingiverse) that looked the right size and felt realistic, however its much to big for the slots in the panel.]
Thanks.
Hello Bonkersbeaver =)
The korry squares on the panels are 16x16mm. This measurement was found by seeking picture's on the Internet of people measuring real korry's. I would say that the panels could have a +− 2mm error, but they seem to be a pretty accurate 1:1 to the real Overhead.
Here's one of the pics from a real korry that I used as a base to make them. By that photo I assume that the korry face is probably something about 15-16mm, wich is why I ended up with the 16mm measurement: https://imgur.com/a/fV7HmUq
By the way, I'm going to take a deeper look at this measurement and see if there is anything more accurate on the internet, although precise sources of this measurements are quite hard to find.
Regards,
RDDesigns.
Thanks for the help, it looks like you’re right on the measurement. I just thought it felt a little small.
Hi
You mentioned that you hadn’t figured out how to do the green lines on the overhead panel.
However I noticed that in one of the photos (taken in the dark) the green seems to be illuminated? Have you figured out how to do this or is that still marker?
Thanks for any help.
Hello Jeffrey.
About the photos with the green lines, these are actually renders of the 3D model. Those are not from my physical Overhead.
I still hasn't figured out how to make them glow perfectly with the Overhead backlight using the marker technique, altough some costumers reported that it worked nicely for them.
By the way I didn't tried any other techniques on making those green lines work since a long time ago. If you find a better solution for them feel free to share with us here =D
Let me know if you need anything else.
Regards,
RDDesigns.
Thanks for your help,
my idea is to paint them on with a transparent green marker and backlight them so that the light shines through; If anyone has any better ways please reply.
I’ll let you know how it goes, it will be a while.
Hi,
I have a print bed size of 256 x 256 x 256 will i be able to print everything please.
Regards
Chris
Hello =)
If you're referring to the A320 Overhead Panels or the E1 Overhead, yes. All of them can be print with your printer. The bigger panels are avaliable on a "splited" version, wich allows you to print them on smaller printers, such as the Ender 3 wich has a 220x220mm bed size.
About my other files (The glareshield panels, 737 overhead...) they don't have a splited version yet because no costumer has required yet, but if you need it, just let me know and I'll provide that for you :)
Let me know if I can help with anything else.

Hey, I purchased your airbus pack, and loving printing it so far. Wondering if you have a korry file at all? Thanks in advance my dude.
Hello Shauncb :)
I actually do have a korry file, wich I remixed from a free model I found on thingiverse, it uses one 8x8mm tacticle switch and two 3mm leds. The issue is that I made it about 15% downscaled, to match with my physical overhead (wich was also downscaled to fit better above my monitor). I can send you the files by email if you wish so, but It may need some adjustments/scaling to fit on the real scale Overhead (lol).
If you wan't it anyway, tell me your email and I'll send the files for you.
Let me know if you need anything else.
Regards,
RDDesigns.
I have been working on a set that could work but I am way too new at this! Thanks again, I am loving the work so far!
Hey!
Sorry for the delayed response.
Just sent you the files via email, Im happy you're enjoying it :)
Let me know if I can help you with anything else.

Hello, I bought your "AIRBUS A320 OVERHEAD - EVAC PANEL", and STL file has some problems "overlaping". Is it possible to get .STEP or .IGES file of a model?
Thanks
Hello =)
I just repaired .stl file and also added two other versions of the panel in .step and .iges format for you. Just download the files again and you should be fine.
Sorry for the inconvenience, let me know if you need anything else!

RDDesigns.
Thanks!
