Descripción del modelo 3D
Stop searching for rare or overpriced spare parts for your bike! This is a complete replacement kit for the lockout control of Zoom suspension forks.
Unlike other models available online, this is a standalone solution. You don't need to have the original broken pieces or use external tools like hex keys to lock your fork. If you lost your original knob, this kit provides everything you need to restore full functionality to your suspension.
Technical Note on Compatibility:
The gear/spline interface on top of the hex actuator follows a common standard often found in parts from other brands (such as SR Suntour or Shimano-compatible systems). While the knob itself might interface with those third-party metal actuators, please note:
This kit is specifically designed to work as a matched 3-piece set.
Using the knob with a third-party actuator will definitely disable the "click" ratchet functionality, as the ratchet mechanism is integrated into this specific 3-part design.
I provide the full model for all components, so there is no need to purchase external metal parts.
KEY FEATURES
Full Replacement: No original parts required. This kit replaces the knob, the internal ratchet, and the hex actuator.
FDM Optimized: Designed specifically for 3D printing. The tolerances are tuned to ensure a solid fit and smooth rotation.
High Durability: Engineered to be printed solid, ensuring the hex control won't strip under torque.
MODEL CONTENT
The download consists of 3 separate STL files:
The Knob: The external handle (cap).
The Ratchet: The internal component that creates the "step" movement.
The Hex Control: The core part that interfaces with the fork's internal cartridge.
PLEASE NOTE:
The actual 3D printed model (FDM) is shown in the gallery images. For the best results and durability, please follow the material and assembly instructions below.
Happy riding! You’re welcome to leave a comment and share a photo of your make.

Recommended Material:
I have successfully tested and used this model in PETG. However, it can be printed in any high-performance material like ASA or ABS for even better UV and heat resistance.
Print Settings (CRITICAL):
Infill: 100%. Since the parts are small, a lower infill won't save significant time or plastic, but it will compromise the structural integrity. 100% infill ensures the best surface quality and mechanical strength.
Wall Loops: 3 or 4.
Supports: None needed. All parts are optimized for support-free printing.
Assembly Instructions
To ensure the lockout positions align correctly, please follow this procedure:
- Preparation: Remove the original ratchet from the fork (if still present). Do not install the new ratchet yet.
- Calibration: Insert the new Hex Control into the fork's central bolt. Turn it clockwise until the fork is fully locked (do not over-tighten).
- Ratchet Placement: Temporarily remove the Hex Control and place the new Ratchet into its seat.
- Final Assembly: Re-insert the Hex Control (keeping the fork in the locked position). Finally, snap the Knob (the cap) onto the assembly, making sure it points to the "Locked/Off" position.
For a smoother "click" and to reduce mechanical wear, apply a drop of oil or a small amount of grease directly on the ratchet mechanism during assembly.
