Hardware Requirements

Light Source: 1x IKEA MITTLED LED spotlight (68mm diameter).

Fasteners: 2x M3 or M4 Socket Head Cap Screws (and corresponding nuts/inserts) to secure the top curved shade to the base arms.

For 3D Printing (FDM / SLA)

Material Recommendations:

    To achieve the authentic 70s plastic look shown in the reference, use vibrant, solid colors like Orange, Mustard Yellow, or Classic White PLA/PETG/ABS. The shade can be printed in a slightly translucent material if you want it to glow, or a solid opaque color to act purely as a reflector.

Layer Height: 0.16mm – 0.20mm. A standard layer height works perfectly to capture the smooth, broad curves of the hood and the solid cylindrical base.

Wall Lines & Infill:

    Print with 3 to 4 wall perimeters to ensure the mechanical connection points are strong.

    Use 15%–20% infill (Gyroid or Cubic pattern) to give the bottom of the lamp a stable, weighted feel.

Supports:

    The Curved Shade: Will require supports (Tree/Organic supports recommended) due to the sweeping, folded overhang.
