My son loves his snake. However, the front wheels of the each wagon comes into the contact of the rear skirting of the wagon infront of it causing the wheels to catch and stop spinning. The skirting also prevents the snake from making sharper turns than the largest curve tracks of the standard wooden railway sets (Brio, Ikea, etc). May I suggest a version of this snake with a wheelwell in the rear skirting to allow freer movement of the wheels and turning radius?

Thank you for your message! What you describe should not normally happen. Each wagon of the snake is designed to be connected with an intermediate ring between them (as mentioned in the description). The ring has a notch that allows space for the wheels of the following wagon, and without it the front wheels may indeed touch the back of the previous wagon.
Could you please check if you have inserted the intermediate rings between each wagon? That should solve the issue and allow the snake to turn more freely.

I like the model and it's printing right now. Unless I'm missing something there are no .stl files for the track you mentioned?

Hi there. In the zip file, there is a folder named "rails". There are 2 files in there. Maybe you had problems unzipping the archive ?

What is the print time on a Bambu X1 Carbon AMS? I would like to give it to my grandson tonight

Hi,

How lucky you are to have a bambu. On my printer, a train with the head, the tail and 2 wagons takes between 9 and 11 hours (between 0.2 and 0.28 of layer height). I don't know how faster than a ender 3 is the bambu. 4 times ? Between 2 and 3 hours ? No guarantee, I don't have such a printer.

This is an awesome model - my kids really enjoy. Printed perfect and all the pieces went together easily without cleanup needed.

I really appreciated the extra notes included with the download. So much attention to detail.
