BMW M47 5 Bar MAP Sensor Adapter Bracket (OEM Bolt Retention)

Developed following extensive design work, component sourcing and clearance testing, this adapter bracket provides a clean and reliable method of fitting a BMW 5 Bar Boost Pressure Sensor (Part No. 13628514488) to the factory rear-mounted intake manifold on BMW M47 four-cylinder diesel engines.

This revised version has been designed to retain the sensor using the original style sensor retaining bolt, eliminating the need for a longer bolt and separate nut. The result is a cleaner, more OEM-style installation.

Compatibility

Suitable for:

• BMW M47 series 4-cylinder diesel engines with a rear-mounted MAP sensor.

Not suitable for:

• BMW M57N2 engines.
• Engines fitted with a top-mounted MAP sensor.

Please Note: If your MAP sensor is mounted on the top of the intake manifold rather than the rear, this adapter is not compatible. A version for top-mounted applications is currently in development.

Additional Components Required

The following parts are required for installation:

• 1 × O-ring to seal the adapter to the intake manifold.
• 1 × O-ring to seal the 5 Bar MAP sensor within the adapter.
• Original sensor retaining bolt (or equivalent OEM-specification bolt).

These components are not included with the STL file.

Print Settings & Manufacturing Instructions

This component can be printed using your preferred material; however, due to the high-pressure application, a minimum material recommendation of ABS or ASA is strongly advised.

Recommended Material Requirements

• Minimum Material: ABS or ASA
• Preferred Properties: High temperature resistance, mechanical strength, and durability.

This adapter is designed for applications experiencing boost pressures of up to 40 PSI, so material selection and print quality are critical to ensure reliability and safe operation.
