Hello, can the Battle Royale necklace be worn?

  • 1 curtida

Absolutely
its designed to be printed in PETG so you can put it on by flexing the back

  • 2 curtidas

Oh wow you're the best, thank you, I'll take it :)

Hello!
I'm trying to assemble the thumb cuffs from your model. I've printed the spring and two of the lock levers separately (as it comes in the download), but I find that the spring is just loose inside the case and when the cuffs are open, the lock levers open fully, causing the spring to become dislodged inside or even fall off the case.

Do you have any more print or build instructions for this specific model or is there anything I'm doing incorrectly when printing/assembling these parts?

Hi
Thank you for for bring this to my attention.

I made the leavers and spring one piece this should solve the issue

Hi! Thanks for the update. I've just printed the new part and the model works flawlessly now! Great work :D

Hello Hunter, I bought the "Print in place collar and padlock" and have found it will not fit on my printer. Is there any way to print the two halves of the collar separately so they can fit on the tray? Thank you!

Hi
I put up a second version which uses 2 halve and a pin hinge, hopefully this solves your issue

Hi bought your parametric posture collar, and tried one print, but i printed in abs so it bacame a little to small due to shrinkage,
for the remake i wanted to increase the height a little, but the model breaks when i do it.
I need 130 front back. 120 side, and 60 tall.
Would love it if you could tell me how to fix the problem that happens when i increase height.

Also the lock holes seem really weak due to the layer lines.

Hi
Thanks for letting me know, I'll take a look at the f3d model and get back to you.
Also have you done a gap test, if I know what you need I can make it for you.

If you only want to increase the height, have you tried scaling the Z axes only (in your slicer).
This will have the added affect of scaling the gap width. (also check with the test hinge)

  • 1 curtida

Thanks, the hinge worked beautifully, right of the printer. So if i could increase the height without changing the hinge that would be great. I added the dimensions i needed in original comment.

Oh wait I remember now:
I made another version (100x90x40 with pin), I recommend using that instead.
The old model is included in the files for the people who bought that version.

If you're interested:
fusion just kept jumping over lines i.e. instead of pushing a line, to a new measurement, a line would jump over it and break the model. (believe me I tried everything and sometimes it did it, sometimes not???) IF you really want to work with the model look at the affected sketch before and after a para change,,, its usually fixed by toggle driven the dimension, moving it to the right side of whatever line its jumped. (also try walking the paras up to it i.e. 100,105, 110, cos the break happens when there is a large gap and f3d doesn't know what to do with it)

But to fix the issue I made a new model which each part can be scaled.
e.g. if the pin or the lock is too loose or to tight +/- 1-2% on the required axes will sort it out.

side note: I recommend printing the pin laying down cos its stronger to hold the hinge, also the lock has a flat on the top surface printing from that will again give strength.

  • 1 curtida

oh I saw the your dims but I meant the gap you need so the ABS doesn't stick

  • 1 curtida

Ah great i will try the other model. Thanks for the support

Hello, I purchased the Spiked Collar and am confused by the files not matching what I was expecting. The file titled "spike 100x90x30x8 v2 v5" appears to be the design I wanted but does not appear to be functional when I slice it . The individual piece files with "PIP" at the end appear to be a slightly different design with a different lock style and thickness, am I missing something?

Hello
The files include two versions: The original, print in place model and an updated version.

The new version is based on feedback and includes:
-Separate parts that can be printed in different colours.
-This also allows sanding of the main collar and spikes separately I.e. its easier to get into it.
-less overhangs and better angles for easier printing
-improved locking mechanism

Because of this, it has a slightly different design from the original.

The original print in place l hinge gap will scale with the model and can fuse in slicer or while printing at smaller sizes.
However this shouldn't be an issue at or above 100mm internal dia.

The original files are still hosted for legacy of people who bought that version and new people as an option.

I understand now, that is helpful thank you!

Hello, we purchased the oval-swedish-style-collar-with-loop-and-ring, its a good item, but we found a problem, when scale the model to a bigger size, the thickness of the collar pass from 8 mm to nearly 13 mm and it take away the shape and style of the collar , i use Ultimate Cure to scale and prepare for the anycubic vyper printer, i try to use fusion 360 and blender, but is out of my skills from now, there is a easy way to mantain the thickness to 8-9 mm ?, meanwhile i work on have a level on editing files on this programs, thanks in avance. Miquel from Barcelona

Hi, what size would you like?
I can make it in fusion and send you the stl

The size i need is on the inside: 130 mm front to rear and 115 mm left to rigth and 450 mm heigth and the thickness 9mm, you are very kind to do it, thnks.

I've added: elliptic collar remake 130x115x45 to the files in the product page.

Much better now, we like it too much, thankyou very much, we ara thinking on some modifications more, have to learn and practice the design programs to make it, thanks again, its a great model to work, have a good day.

Hi, I'll look into this as soon as I can.

Also there is a 100x90x40 mm set in the files which can be scaled x,y/z as required.

Hi again, thank you for your patience.
what values do you need and I'll make the STL for you

Hello, I purchased the print in place posture collar. Im needing to scale it to 166%. It wont fit the Prusa i3 MK3 bed. I was curious if you could make a three piece design? I can super glue / epoxy or use hardware if needed. Maybe like the two sides, and the hinge seperated, with pegs/holes to slot together. Thanks for your help, my wifey & I love your work. https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/fashion/print-in-place-posture-collar-parametric

Thanks, I'm glad you like my work.
I'll see what I can do

The design files now includes a hinge and pin version, so the parts can be printed separately

Thanks mate :D I'll post a pic of my make as soon as it finishes. <3 keep up the excellent work.

awesome, I look forward to it

By any chance, do you think you can please add a tension pin that can be printed and slipped in? >~< I figure if you make one that can be pressed in, it'll have a perfect fit, and beat looking for a perfectly fitting pin/plug. I'll just scale it 166/166/175.

oh my bad,, I forgot to upload that part,, sorry about that.

There's now a printable pin in the files (scale as required) .
It should be a tight fit (.1mm) at one end with the shaft free (0.2mm) but I'd love to know if that's the case after x166%.

Thinking about it that's still only 0.16 on the tight which depending on you printer should friction hold.
But the beat way is to test before you hammer it into a man body, So now I included a test piece to check the pin scale.

Also thanks for letting me know

FYI:
The hole, in the collar, is a straight shaft (so it can be cleared out by a drill), its the pin which is thicker at one end.
So the pin should go on the test piece one side freely then get stuck when it gets to the other and need to be firmly pressed in.
You may wanna play with the scale cos it depends on you printer (or sand and glue might actually be faster then reprinting)

Also:
The pin is made with a flat side so it can print on the bed and get lines down its shaft.

Hope this helps
I'm looking forward to seeing your "make".

Hello, how do I need to scale your files for the 131B Jungmann to have it in about 1:48?
Thank you!

Hi
The wingspan is of the 131B Jungmann is 7.4m
(https://encyclopedia.pub/entry/32503)

7400/48=154.16... mm
In the slicer it will give you the print dimensions of the part to be printed,
scale the wing till you get 154mm.
note the scale factor and
apply this to all the parts.

hope this helps

I once had a similar issue which after trying everything: I factory reset the printer (ender 3 pro) and the slicer (prusa) .
Then it was fixed.

My theory was that I'd changed something in the slicer,,, which was just lost in the "trying everything".

As for the model I can check it and upload it in different formats.
Do you have Fusion360 ?

I redid the model with a non print in place version this should make it much easier to print

Hey, 👋🏼 I downloaded the collar with a hole for an AirTag. Now I've noticed that the hole for the AirTag changes when I scale it and it no longer fits. Do you have any tips on how I can work around this? Sorry, I'm still a beginner...

Ahh,, that's an issue.
If you're scaling up and the air tag is rattling: tape, hot glue or blue tac to take up the extra space

If you're scaling it down i.e. there's not enough space for the tag, two options:
If you have Fusion 360 you can alter it there: scale to the size you need and use a cylinder to cut the hole
or
I can do that for you: just reply with the size you need

Hello, I purchased your model https://cults3d.com/de/modell-3d/mode/loop-collar. Unfortunately I would have to scale the collar because I didn't see that it had a small diameter. Does this also work with the STL files? If I scale the print, do all the diameters, etc. change? What is the best thing to do? - Sorry, I'm a beginner. :-)

Hi there
If you scale all of the axis at the same time i.e. XYZ locked, then the parts should fit together.

Note: if you're making it smaller you may have to drill out the bolt hole for the hinge.
random hack: you can use a long bolt in the drill and the friction will melt its way through and make a thread of the exact size for the bolt/machine screw.

Please let me know if this solved your problem, if it doesn't I'd be happy to make the model to your required size

i purchased your fixed hand cuffs from cults, the lock lever on left side of your first picture is not in down load, also if have any pictures of assembly that would be great. thanks

Hi
The left and right lock leaver are the same shape. I.e. you just need to print it twice.

I'll have to get back to you on assembly, I'm not presently near my workshop

hello love your designs. there is one that i think should be modified.0.4MM HINGE TEST . you should have it set to print each side independently. i printed this and it will not pivot. so if you set it to be used with a m3 or m4 set screw it would work and pivot. again LOVE your designs keep up the awesomeness. hope you have a great day

Sorry to hear that you weren't able to effectively print the print in place 0.4mm hinge test.

Its a free test hinge for my other models, just to check that they're able to pivot and thus open/wear my other products.

If there is any of my models you would like to purchase I would be happy to make bolted hinge version for you.

Also you might like to try the new version of the test hinge:
https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/gadget/print-in-place-0-3mm-hinge-test

As my newer products use a slightly different hinge.

just downloaded it will try to print it next weekend

congrats on your elliptic collar!

the parametrized values work well except for the ring of the lock which is moving in weird directions when the collar is being resized. sadly it's problematic for almost all values about 120mm.

Hi
well lets get that sorted.
First which product are we talking about (I can't see your downloads and i have a few similar)?

But I think we're talking about the "OVAL SWEDISH STYLE COLLAR WITH LOOP AND RING".
If so: I'd be happy to make the ring as you need.

If it is only the ring at issue there's a sketch, called ring, for its shape and position which is used as a centre line for the "pipe" function.

otherwise please can I have screen shots

  • 1 curtida

exactly, it's the "OVAL SWEDISH STYLE COLLAR WITH LOOP AND RING"

I changed the "frontToback" value from 80mm to 120mm, then it had very weird effect.

I noticed that with values like 150mm it goes even more weird.

I'm not an expert of Fusion

big thanks in advance

Cheers

Am away from my computer
But if you leave the measurements you need
I can post/send you the design later

  • 1 curtida

thanks for your kind answer. Ideally it would be 130mm with 40mm and 50mm as well.

many thanks in advance

I added a zip file with frontToBack:130 in the product page.
As an existing customer you should be able to access it.

Hello, two questions.
I would like to buy the handcuffs designs but i would like to print in metal. My question is if the design should count that it will be printed on metal, mainly to make sure that the lock it is not too loose or tie.
Besides that it is possible to give you the size in order to adapt the design?
Cheers,

Hi
If you print in metal there is gaps built into the model to allow things to move I.e. the internal parts are thinned.
But if you're asking because youre going to cut the design out of sheet metal you'll need slightly different thicknesses for the internals or to shim them or to thin by sanding them

Hello,
My idea is to send the file to a metal printer company and let them do their magic. So I guess I need the design taking into account that it will be printed on metal. Is it possible?

Hi
I'll need more details to comment.

My advice: contact the company who would print it with the model and ask them what tolances would allow free movement of the hinges.

Also printing in plastic to check the sizes, as metal 3dp is considerably more expensive.

thanks

Hello,
I guess this handcuffs are like these: https://fetlife.com/users/12417699/pictures/138334732
My intention it is to print it in a metal printer. Is it possible?. My consent it is regarding the lock as I do not know if printed in metal the lock will too tie or too loose.
Is it possible if I give you the size to adapt the file to it?
Thanks in advance,

Hello, when adjusting the size of the oval collar in F3d, many of the extrudes break. for example the second extrude has this odd repeat pattern https://ibb.co/XS22j1x

Hi, I'll get on this tonight.
What size do you need it to be?

I'm not sure I was going to try 120x105 or so, but I wanted the ability to edit it from the original size. I'm trying to use this as an actual trial for a real swedish collar to try and get my sizing right.

I remade the design, you should be able to download it from the product page.
I also included a .f3d for 120x105

Thanks for showing me the bug, as a token of appreciation if there is another, of my designs, you like I'd be happen to give you a free download of it.

Thanks in my testing this is now fixed. I'll let you know which new design I'd love to try once the image galleries are working again!

OK found another weird bug as I play with sizing (I'm doing small 1/4 height prints. If I bring the SideToSide width over about 110 it totally breaks the clip sketch. There's a "failed to solve" error I believe with the 60° angle's on the bracketing when those are adjusted it then breaks in other more weird ways.

Additionally, the final move [move2] is positioned not on the center of the hinge, so when exported it won't slice as 2 separate parts. It's a pretty easy fix for the anchor point to lock it to the center of the hinge and then everything is perfect!=

Hi again
I've uploaded
hopefully this does the trick (crosses fingers)

Holly Molly! this is great! I like the parameter changes really makes it cleaner. Everything seems to work really well, trying a test print now to ensure sizing before I do the whole thing!

Hi - can you provide print settings for optimal print of print in place collar? Resolution, supports etc. Thanks - beautiful work!

Hi
Everyone's printer is different so i can't recommend for you printer however
I can provide you with a test print for the hinge: https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/gadget/free-hinge-test-for-princess-collar
which can be used to dial in your printer.

On my printer, a creality cr6-se: i use PETG @ 255c, 0.2mm layers, using Prusa slicer "normal" settings with 3 walls and supports turned on

Hello. I see you liked the model of my cyclone. But I'm afraid it's outdated. Yes, it looks cool, but it has a lot of details. Try Cyclone 3. It has a minimum of details and improved operation.

Bonjour
Merci pour le suivi
Cordialement

Hi
Thanks for letting me know
I posted a new version, let me know how it goes

updated model is working fine, thank you!

Awesome.
Would love see your print
