That makes sense, thank you

Thank you for the fast response. I did not explain myself well I'm wanting to retain the base top and bottom parts that hold the glass lid and sit in the printer. I just want to cut out the middle portion of the base where the vents are. I will see if I can make the adjustments infusion and then send you the file to get your thoughts. I understand removing the base where the lid rests and where the riser fits into the printer top will make it unusable.
Thank you again for your quick response!

Also, I have no intention of redistributing this is just for my own use.

There are vents on the side and the front. If you do not want the vents it is much simpler to scale (thicken) the vent insert in the slicer to get a tight fit. This will achieve the same result with minimal effort and ensure compatiblity with the addons. Thank you

Hello Darren,
I just purchased your D3P Riser for H2C model and am excited to start work on it. I am thinking about modifying the model slightly and wanted to get your thoughts on whether this will effect its functionality/ability to use the add-ons.

The vented base of the riser strikes me as being unnecessary for my H2C due to the automatic top vent on the printer. If I remove the vented portion in Fusion 360 (assuming I am able to do this) and just leave the top slanted part of the base where the glass lid rests and the bottom slanted part of the base where it rests on the printer will this effect the functionality of the riser and add-ons? the overall result will be to shorten the riser by the amount of the vents.
https://ibb.co/6RYTWQ06

I am thinking about this modification for the following reasons
1. The vents seem to be designed for other printers without the Auto Top Vent of the H2C
2. Reduce any chamber heat loss from the vents (assuming there is air leakage when the vents are closed)
3. Reduce over filament needed

I realized I am overthinking this but that's what 3D Printing is to me, making exactly what I want.

Thank you for your time.
Eddie

Hi Eddie. The riser and its vents were designed for the H2 series. There is minimal air leakage but the system is not airtight. I do not have an issue if you wish to modify the design for your own use providing you do not redistribute or upload the modified design.

In my opinion, the removal of the base would render the design unusable. The base with the vents fit into the cavity where the glass lid sits. By removing this there would be no means of keeping it safely on the printer. In addtion to this the structure would be affected as well as functionality. This modification would also affect the use of the various addons.

As such I do not recommend it.

Hi Darren,

I purchased your 3D Riser for H2 series and absolutely love it.

I have it on my H2D and it works exactly like I imagined it!!

I recently purchased an H2C and would like to see if you have a modified file that only has the 2" glass riser with no AMS shelf system? I would like to put that on my H2C and then a Double Stack AMS System on top as I don't have room to go wide.

Thanks,
Frank

Happy you like the riser. Can you reach out to me on Facebook - Darren3dPrint. Thank you

hi Darren
do you have a model for a spool holder but for the left side of the kobra s1

thanks in advance

I believe you have the S1 Classic riser. I have a few - have a look at all the addons in the collection for that riser (Note you may need to mirror some in the slicer to use them on the left): https://www.makeronline.com/en/user/collectionDetail/675c75ae-4f68-447f-902a-3dbdc36460d4/61675.html

This is probably the more versatile of them - there is a right and a left holder so print the left one (click on the parts to see which is which). https://www.makeronline.com/en/model/Interchangeable%20spool%20holder%20for%20Kobra%20S1%20riser/185868.html?trackModuleType=9

Hello Darren,
I'm new to the the 3D printing. I purchased and downloaded the Plus 4 riser you created. I wasn't smart enough to download all the files for it the first time. Now I went to go back to get the instructions and it is requiring me to pay again. Would you be so kind and sharing all the files for your riser for the Plus 4 with me. I thought once you make the purchase you would have access to the download file section ongoing. Please let me know if you need anything to send me the files.
Thanks Scott

Hello and thank you for the support. You have lifetime access to all the files and do not have to pay again. To get files at any time click on the Cults logo - top right. Click downloads. You will have access to your downloads free of charge. Let me know if you have any issues and thank you for the support.

Hi how to I get files to print on a kobra s 1 for the complete ace pro side by side holder pls as I never downloaded before

You would need to purchase the riser as it as paid model. The addons are free to download on makeronline. Here is the link for the riser: https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/tool/anycubic-kobra-s1-d3p-riser

Hi there. Are there any plans to make a riser/shelf sytem to fit the Elegoo CC?

Possibly. I am still trying to find a nice design for the top. The open space and location of the spools imposes a few limits. I was waiting to see what changed with the CC2 and may get one of these to test things.

Hello, thank for your amazing design. I purchased it last night and I was wondering if I could mix PLA with PETG parts. I hear PETG is better for parts that are going to be exposed to heat and I was planning on making the big parts on that material. Thank you again

Thank you. You are able to however if you intend on printing higher temp filaments PETG may be better. Thank you

I don't know how to multi-color print yet. I would rather use the drawer fronts that use different colored inserts like the side.

The drawer fronts are one piece and they are printed in multi-color. There are no two part drawer fronts. If you are not certain how to do multi-color you can print them in single color and then reprint them in multi-color when you learn how. Thank you

Hi im confused as to what you get for the price as there is alot of pictures do you get it all or is it per item ?
Thanks

Hello. I presume you are referring to the risers. The main riser is a paid item and what you get for the price. All the addons that are pictured are available to download for free - see the link under the addons section. Thank you

i was referring to the riser i forgot to say sorry mate ill buy it off you when i get home from work im after the h2s one roughly how longs the print time and filament usage ?

No worries. That is what I presumed. Please have a look at the info under the heading "Technical info" on the riser page. You will get all this info. Thank you

Hi Darren,
I printed your riser for the q2 some days ago. I am really loving it! However, there seems to be one issue with the PTFE tube hole in the back of the riser. For me, the hole was positioned way to high so that the angle of the PTFE tube leading into the machine would not allow trouble free loading and unloading. The gears of the box would not be able to push or pull the filament because of the unfavorable angle of the PTFE tube, as soon as the filament enters the back of the machine. I drilled another hole in the riser at the same position, but lower in height. This way, the PTFE tube is entering on pretty much the same height as the cable routing of the print head. This makes loading and unloading work reliably again.
Did you get this feedback before? Did not want to comment this on the product page, as I am not sure if this is only a me-problem.

Hello and thank you for the feedback. Happy you like the rise. This is the 1st time that I am informed that the entry position of the PTFE tube may be an issue. Presently with the riser, you have two choices. You can use the stock position on the printer. The other option is where I have placed it on the riser which approximately corresponds to that of the Qidi supplied riser. I would be curious to see where you placed it. You can reach out to me on Facebook - Darren3dPrint. Thank you.

Accidently paid for the wrong printer file set I need the riser set for p2s not H2 any help would be appreciated

Please reach out to me on Facebook - Darren3dPrint Thank you

Already checked. And downloaded

Thank you

Hello, I purchased your D3P riser for the K2 plus and I am having a problem with one of your files. So I started printing yesterday. I have two K2 Pluses. I started out printing the rear right and the rear left. The rear right printed with no problem on the K2. The rear left Im having an issue. Ive tried three times to print it now and at 23 percent complete it fails. Im getting an x axis out of range fault. I tried twice on one printer. I thought maybe my printer was having issues. Then when the rear right was done I tried printing the rear left on that one and it just failed again. So thats two different printers with the same problem. Can you look into this for me please? Ive used quite a bit of filament already. I dont want to keep trying this and not get any farther. Thank you.

Certainly. I do have over 1k builds on this model so the model and print settings have been fully tested. A few questions. Are you using my 3mf print setting? Are you using the desktop or cloud app to slice? You can also reach out to me on Facebook - Darren3dPrint - this is probably best to exchange photos.

I just sent you a facebook message.

Will you have a QIDI and X1/P1 Lite version soon?

Thank you for the inquiry. I am still toying with the LITE version as demand is much less than the full one. I may look into it for the Qidi. There are a few alternatives for P1S and X1C so not certain about those. I am curious to see what you would like to see in the Qidi Lite version as you would lose out on a few options and be limited to a single Qidi box.

how do i find the build plates description to see what supports are needed?

The information is all in the print setting (3mf) file. For you riser, simply load the 3mf in Bambu Studio - click on the 1st plate, click slice and then print. You can look at the build plate name to verify if support is required - the information on the build plate name for support is meant as a backup since support should be added automatically. Thank you

For the dual AMS riser roller. The rear bar has one end that does not fit into the roller side component. The triangle is larger on one side than the other.

I presume this is for the dual AMS stand. That model has been out for some time and printed a number of times without issues. Can you reach out to me on Facebook - Darren3dPrint so you can send me a photo of the issue. Thank you

Another note. On the pullout - the triangles tenons are different size in back and front since the front and rear parts are different. Please use my 3mf print setting. Thank you

Hey, I've got the plus 4 and I've got your riser in it, I've got some nylon filament the sent me (influencer on tik tok @mysmoosh) and I have to print it using the external spool holder, being that this is a hard filament I'd like to put the holder in the left side to feed directly into the side port, but it seems the one you have for the q2 is located on the opposite die of the feed, maybe I'm wrong, but is there a way to hang it off the left side instead of the right side?

I have a spool holder for Plus 4 for use with the riser. It can mount on the right or left. https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/tool/qidi-q2-d3p-riser-interchangeable-external-spool-holder Have a look at the main riser page - there are many addons and links to these. Thank you

Hi Dareen, question
I locked left vent and while pushing it, it broke in a way that I cant retrive it. Its tight and wasnt moving good at all (didnt move any axis). Is there a way to remove it, or I need to reprint whole left side? :D

Hello. Did you modify the vent inserts? There should be ample clearance. It is hard to say without more details but if a part of it is visible I would use a screwdriver as a lever to remove it. You can also reach out to me over Facebook Darren3dPrint to share photos of the issue. Thank you

Paid for the kobra s1 riser and I'm missing the code for the green pieces that go on the draws.

Hello and thank you for the feedback. There are none. The drawer front is a single piece and is painted in the slicer. Thank you

hey was wanting to see if had any other accessories for the anycubic kobra 3 max and kobra 3 over head mount need something the tubes
not to be going every where can you help or has anyone design anything to fix this based on your design

I would like to send you a photo of the result. Is that possible?
If so, where can I send it to you?

Thank you. You can post a make or can reach out to me on Facebook. Darren3dPrint.

Thanks for the design.
The project printed perfectly. I used HT PLA GF from Polymaker, which offers very good temperature resistance.
No problems during printing. I used your settings.

Now printing the accessories.

Thank you for the feedback. Happy all went well.
