Recommend printing with Tree Supports to 'build plate But I have also printed this fine without any supports at all.
#ABOUT
One supporting 30mm 5v case fans including a small slot for the fan wire to go back into the case and connect to the pi header for power. The latest version is designed for a PI-hole configuration as it loses the slot for the camera cable in favour of better cooling, almost 20c better cooling...
I used M3 Nuts and M3*16mm Hex head bolts as well as M2.5 hardware (You may want to try experimenting with a selection) to hold the fans in place, these fit perfectly if you also use the fan guard linked below, otherwise, spacing washers will also work, or of course, shorter bolts..
It's not noisy, I used a 5v fan, from Pi-hut (Linked Below), it is practically silent as well as a 5v 40mm fan from RS and a 40mm NOCTUA fan, all silent.
These cases Stop ALL throttling, even on mildly overclocked devices stored in warm areas. I didn't put an aluminium type heatsink on the pi-Zero 2w either, but I did stick on a 2mm flat copper plate type heatsink, these work great in my experience, even with mild overclocking. I tend to run my zero2 at 1.2Ghz, a nice safe overclock. My latest version I have fitted a 12v 30mm fan and connected to it to the pi's 5v output on the pin headers, this is quieter and still gives good airflow.
I have included the original lid in the STL list for convenience, this is the same as the original design but I have also included two NEW STL files for taller covers that give more pin protection and one that has no pin openings at all for people that do not want to use the pins for anything other than a fan, so don't want them open, this provides stronger directional case airflow.
I have also included a USB LOOP COVER file, this prints a little cover to go over the Micro USB loop on the outside. Makes things look a little neater.

HISTORY
- 20/09/2024 :- Initial design and upload. (Now discontinued due to poor airflow and cooling.)
- 20/03/2025 :- Updated with two new taller lid designs to better support pin connectivity or cover the gap to give better cooling if you are not using the headers.
- 17/05/2025 :- Updated design with a 30mm end fan, sacrifices the camera slot for much better cooling that can blow straight across the processor for much lower running temps.
- 24/08/2025 :- Updated with a 40mm end fan adapter built in to the case, this can provide better case pressure and airflow across the components, great for operating the pi in warmer conditions.
