Introducing the 2.75-inch Crabby Open Pour Bait Mold!
Crafted with ease of use and functionality in mind, this mold from Making Baits is designed for anglers and DIY bait-making enthusiasts who are eager to create life-like juvenile crabs. Ideal for targeting Sheeps Head and other saltwater species that love small crabs, this mold ensures your tackle box is well-equipped for your next fishing adventure.
The 2.75-inch Crabby mold requires approximately 0.60 fluid ounces of plastisol to fill, and has no thin cavity features, making it super simple to pour even for the most novice bait makers. This ease of use ensures that anyone can create professional-grade baits without the steep learning curve.

Printing Instructions
- Layer Height: 0.10 to 0.20mm
- Shells: 10-12
- Infill Pattern: Gyroid
- Infill Density: 25%
I recommend printing the mold at a layer height of 0.10 to 0.20mm with a minimum of 10 shells, with up to 12 shells being ideal. A thicker shell in each mold cavity will help prevent warping from the heat of hot plastisol. Print with 25% infill with the Gyroid Infill pattern only. I find that Gyroid Infill is better at stabilizing the mold cavities in all dimensions. No support material is needed. If your slicing program asks for supports, simply decline. It's asking to support the label on the bottom of the mold, and that is easily bridgeable.

Warning: Pouring Soft Plastic Baits is extremely dangerous, and involves pouring molten vinyl plastisol at 350f (177c), and produces toxic fumes that require an organics rated respirator to filter out properly. Only work with plastisol with the proper safety equipment, knowledge, and adequate ventilation.
