I hope you are still reading comments. I do a lot of character modeling and am mostly known for creating split models by color. I've modeled Asterix and Obelix, split by color, but have not done Idefix since your onepiece is done so well. I get a lot of request to do a split Idefix and thought that if I simply posted a 'remix' of yours as a split version it would satisfy those requests.
Would you have any objection to that? I post on multiple download sites and would reference your Idefix on Cults.

Hi Steve, Yes you can use that model to split in color, would be great to see it, could be posible to me to used this split version to be upload to my account too, here in cults and makerworld and mention you as a the one who make it possible?
Thanks for your quick response. Of course, what every works for you since you did such a nice job on it.
I figure it should be done as an AMS/MMU model as well at the same time. We will work out the details when the time comes. I'm 'old and slow' and get to complete at most one model per month. I'll work on Idefix when I finish my current model.
I model in Blender, so if you happen to model in Blender and have a Blend file that would be great, if not, I'll just do a manual split.

Great, take your time, unfortunately i do this model time ago and in Zbrush, just let me know when you have finish, will be great to print.
I'm finished with the split and test printing. I've given the files to my two QA guys as well and should be posting it soon.

1- I used organic supports with 29deg overhang
2- I purposely used a raft for the eyes and eyebrows to ensure a non-fat first layer
Two notes for your original model:
1- The model is not manifold and the FDM slicers can not slice it properly. I fixed it as part of the split project
2- The original model does not have a flat bottom, so I sliced off a bit on the bottom
I'll also create an MMU/AMS version
Unless you prefer something else, I can load the model as I typically load my models, but add your name as the original creator and a link to the Cults model that was used as the base for the split, noting that permission was given. I'll indicate that you will also be loading the model under your account with attribution to me as well.
I load models to Thingiverse, Cults3D, Printables, Makerworld and Makeronline

Update: Once my Bambu QA guy finishes his print of the split one and creates a Bambu print profile, I'll load both versions of the model on each of those sites. He already completed the multi-material one. All Prusa QA printing is complete.
