The Russian submarine of the 705 Lira project, code-named Alfa, delights both technology enthusiasts and model builders. The reason: The submarine was damn fast and the shapes still look very elegant and streamlined today. We have enlarged our well-known 1:96 version to an impressive 1:72 and made it available to you as an STL download. The result is an impressive model that sits very quietly in the water. You will receive the hull parts with fine engravings on the surfaces and all add-on parts, which are also included in a version with support structures. As a bonus, parts for a bayonet fitting are included to create a watertight hull for your own ideas using a 90x650mm tube.

The Maximus Scale Alfa 1:72 is designed for the big boys who enjoy sending their model on a dive at up to 9 km/h.

This reinterpretation of the Alfa RC submarine model prompted us to redesign the pressure hull. The model builder only has to assemble three sections with a few screws. All electrical installations are only fitted afterwards. Extensive discussions with customers and submarine builders provided inspiration for new construction methods. In general, the design is interpreted from the user's point of view. No watchmaking knowledge is required. Screw connections are fitted with sturdy metal threaded inserts. The installation space and the rudder linkages are generously dimensioned to facilitate assembly. All components of the twin-hull boat are sufficiently strong for use in open waters. The hull sections are made of PETG. The propeller is now not glued but screwed onto the stainless steel shaft.

The entire submarine model was recalculated to achieve exemplary speed and the propulsion system was designed accordingly. A completely new piston tank ensures diving times of 12s. So if you don't trust yourself with the interior design, you can buy it at the following link:
