ウィンドスピナー・ドラゴンダンス対応

Here I display my new wind spinner Dragondance. Its snake-like spiral bodies catch the wind and make the two kites circle around each other. In the Utube video you can see some of these figures action:

You can scale and paint the piece as you like and get very nice moving objects for your home or garden. It is best to hang the wind chime on a nylon thread, for example, fishing line. This is very stable.

The design is provided with a central blind hole at the bottom, so you can attach the piece to a 4 mm - rod and so you can color, spray or paint it well.

I created 2 STL files. One with the pure object, and one with a pre-made support. These these work very well for me for both FDM and resin printing. PLA or standard resins are suitable for printing. The spinner is about 15.5 cm tall, but you can of course scale it to your liking.

I added a version with a longer tail in March 2024. This way the nylon thread comes over the heads and can't get tangled up so easily in strong winds, in case someone wants to hang the figure out even in heavy winds.

Printer details:

For FDM:

Layer thickness: 0.1 mm, (little rework, good surface and less sanding required.)

Printing temperature 200 °

Print bed temperature of 60 °

Printing speed: 70 mm

Outer wall speed: 20 mm

Flow: 100%

Wall thickness 3 mm

Printing plate adhesion Brim / 15 mm wide

Filling 20% / triangles

Please ensure good bed adhesion. Simply remove the support rods from the finished model and sand off the residue.

The settings for resin printing depend on the properties of your printer. Standard resins are suitable.

I have 2 printers in operation:

For FDM: Ultimaker 3 Extended (PLA works very well here),

and for resin: Phrozen Transform Fast.

Both excellent devices.
