Inspired by the band Tool. From one of their famous videos. Will be donating a large portion of the proceeds to a charity for children. If you aren't interested in this, I still just want to take a moment to remind you to consider making a donation to the charity of your choice. Anything at all to help those in who might be in need.
The files are at a specific scale, so that filament can be used for the arms and for the spine. You want to make sure you do NOT have supports inside the holes for the filament to travel through. It will block the passage.
It is a fairly small print at normal size. Be sure to go accordingly with your layer height. .1 to .12 are prolly the best. You will want a good infill for most of the parts. 30 or over. 40 or 50 for the hands. and use supports where needed. The hands need to have them, the other parts, only for stability around the bottom. The joints are really small and require a height of .1
Once printed. you use either filament or wire for the arms and spine, the Joints can be glued in place. When painting, dry brush (a technique of having paint that has been spread over the brush and not thick anywhere on the brush) lightly over areas with cracks and use a fine tip brush to fill in areas around the cracks. Use an antique white and after an even coat mix in some orange and red for highlights around the cracks, neck and other areas. sporadic for the "rusted" look.
4 The eye actually moves! Do not try to fix in meshmixer or any other program, the eye will print in place and when the print is finished, you can push on it with a toothpick or another small instrument, it should turn! You need to apply white paint as you turn it, then paint the pupil and iris. Applying clear coat by brush carefully after it is all finished gives it the shiny porcelain look.
