I'm having a hard time with larger coins like an american silver eagle. Which is 40MM in diameter. I can't use the 1x lens on my phone to accomplish that. Anyway you can design something where the focus length would match up for larger coins as well? I'm using an iphone 16 pro. It will fit with a .5 lens, but I'm worried about losing quality with that lens.
It was not meant for such large coins but I did also take photos of the silver dollar. You just need to remove the black mask/shade inside the box (so it's not visible in the picture anymore) and zoom out to 0.8x and you get good photos of these coins. Don't use 0.5x lens it's will distort the image too much since the object is too big.
I mean remove the internal stray lens hood (the thin black part with the 3 pegs) else it is a little bit visible in the corners of the picture.
hey there, haven't been able to get these to fix just right like they're too narrow...they can bend to fit drives but then are warped/bowed...trying with stnadard size dvd blu ray internal drives
Are you sure it's a 9.5mm internal drive? Because there are also 12.7mm internal drives and they won't fit. Also check if the lateral pins are aligned with the holes from the drives.
actually, I have 1 9.5mm drive and 2 others that are 12.7mm and even the 9.5mm one doesn't fit...its too wide?
then I can only think of that you have some exotic non-standard drive? I built the BAY 100% after 9.5mm standardized drawings from OEM manufacturers and of course tested it with these drives too. HP, Pioneer, LG, etc. that I have here. If you give me the exact name of your 9.5mm drive I can search it online to see where the problem is.

Just did a search on it and no, the HL GUE1N DVD drive is actually an ultra-slim 9.0mm drive, not the standard 9.5mm size. While it looks nearly identical and shares the same SATA interface, there are specific differences. So it will not fit.
Google search results literally say: The GUE1N is an ultra-slim 9.5mm SATA internal DVD burner and CD reader primarily used in laptops (including HP, ASUS, and Lenovo models). It acts as a Super Multi DVD Writer, allowing you to read, burn, and play CDs and DVDs
Then it should fit, if it doesn't then it's not a standard 9.5mm drive or something is really off. Check the 3d print if the lateral pins are really aligned with the holes in the drive. Also remove any screws (that stand out) on the sides that might be from a prior installation. Also keep in mind if you print it in ABS the 3d print may shrink a little and you have to consider that.
Hi! I have a couple questions regarding your Super Takumar focus gears. I'm planning on buying the 28mm, the 50mm, and the 135mm. Based off information I found at this link (https://www.willker.de/wie/texte/takumar.html), the fact that my lens are SMC Takumars doesn’t seem to matter for the 28mm, as barrel diameter is the same (on the assumption that 57.2mm is rounded to 58mm), but wanted to check if this was correct. I would be purchasing the 50mm gear for my F/1.8 55mm SMC Takumar, as your listed lens barrel measurement of 58.7mm seems to line up with the 59mm measurement of my lens’s barrel, but not sure if that was correct and wanted to check with you. Finally, regarding the 135mm, I have the F/2.5 6 element SMC Takumar, which according to the info at the aforementioned link, would have the same barrel measurement. However, I see that your listed barrel measurement is 65.5mm, which doesn’t seem to align with the values listed for any of the 135mm Takumars, so I wanted to double check on that assumption.
Sorry if this a lot, just trying to be thorough and exact in my questions and explanation of my situation.
Btw. I also made a gear especially for F/1.8 55mm SMC Takumar for someone but it's not online. For the F/2.5 135mm yes the 65.5mm is correct (just doubled checked) maybe there are different versions of the barrel out there? If it's only a couple of mm then I can edit the file if you give me the correct measurements of your lenses.

You didn't happen to make a lens cap for the 55mm did you? Saw them on makerworld and was going to try to find a way to edit it, but I'm incredibly inexperienced with 3D printing lol
Lenscaps are only for the cinemod since they have all the same outer diameter of 80mm. The text on them is already small for a 0.4mm nozzle if you scale it down to fit 55mm you might need to use a 0.2mm nozzle and this will take ages to print.
Oh no, I understand that you need a step up ring for all of them, I just mean literally changing the text to say 55 instead of 50 and changing the number on the closed focus distance.

Just let me know when you get the measurement from that 135mm then I will go through my archive and also do the 55mm lens cap.
I actually don't need the focus ring for the 135mm, realized I had an extra gear lying around that fits it. Still trying to print the rings for the other two as well as the lens caps for all 3 though! Thank you so much

nope, but if you give me the data for the 28mm I can make one, which f-number, near focus is it? The 135mm I assume is F2.5/1.5m
yup, and the 28mm is 40 cm and f/3.5, both are the same as their non multi-coated counterparts

I have a A1 mini myself and just checked it, yes it fits but you have to rearrange the parts in the 3mf file on multiple plates.

Hi Niktar, that really depends what printer they have and in what material they will print it. Download the files and let them slice it, only then you will get a correct quote.

I honestly don't know because there are way too many smartphones out there with different cameras. If you want to use the iPhone 13 Pro plate then your phone must be able to focus on objects in macro mode at a distance of 37mm. Else the universal plate could work > focus distance for this is 75mm.

I have only the 13 Pro. If the 14 Pro has the lenses at the same place the 13 Pro plate "could" work. Else try the universal plate. I heard from others that in example on the 15 Pro they placed the macro camera to the edge of the phone.

Hi there, just got your message. Everything is made out of black PLA but only the light diffuser has a color change to create a thin layer 0.2mm of white PLA filament the rest is black.
Just printed the 149MM Rails and they did not line up with the front and back holder.... Did not change any dimensions. simply set up and printed. Currently printing the 90.5mm Rails and hopefully they line up properly. Please let me know..

Could you link another option for the RGBs for the cat ear headphone accessory? The one linked in the description is out of stock.
Didnt found them either. Quick fix is to scale the ears and try to fit the new tealights including their casing. Just be sure to find the ones that are small enough, only 30mm in diameter. Others are 38mm in diameter and than the ears would be probably too big and bulky. Hope that helps.

Weird question but I bought these tonight for my personal use because I'm setting up ARM to feed my plex server. I started printing them and now kicking myself because I knew that they were 9.5 mm drives (which my blurays are) but my 3 dvd drives that I picked up tonight are 12.5 mm drives. I'm kicking myself but they were $5 each at a local flea market. I've been searching for anyone else that has a similar product but haven't been able to find anything besides the one on your patreon (https://www.patreon.com/technerd863/posts/12-7mm-blu-ray-152289828). I was wondering, jus asking and perfectly fine with saying no but is it possible to also get these ones because I see your patreon is more for a commercial printing and these are strictly for my server.
You can get the files and many more things from my Patreon, since it was a Patreon user request I usually don't post that stuff here on Cults3D. Just cancel the subscription after you downloaded what you need.
