hello! i love your nostalgic models in the vein of Kenner playsets. I have created the Lars Homestead in its entirety, including the real location hotel... but i though you would like to have the Garage. If you want it let me know.

Thank you for the offer. I don't currently have plans for a garage - don't have room in my collection shelves for more Lars location stuff. :)

Hello there. Your work has recently caught my attention. I am interested in the Star Wars - Ewok Village Diorama, however I would love to buy it with the actual full-length trees so that it matches the original. Would you consider doing a full size one?

Thanks for your message. I have a couple versions of an Ewok Village that I haven't published here yet. They'll show up eventually, as I'm going through my files from the past 13 years and cleaning them up for publishing here - that takes some time. They're their own design, not really aligned with the Kenner-esque vibes of what I already have published here. Maybe one day I'll get back around to adding some lower parts to the one that's already published. The goal with that one was to give it Kenner vibes, but make it something different from the 1983 playset.

I see. I know that for myself, and quite a few others in my 3D printing community, we would absolutely love to see some 1:1 copies of the old kenner playsets that could be 3d printed. Just something to think about moving forward in case you get inspired. Thanks.

Totally get where you're coming from. While I often draw a lot of inspiration from the vintage stuff and try to integrate little nods here and there, my goal is never to try to create carbon copies of stuff that's been done before - I always seek to put a new spin on things to create something unique and different, if that makes sense.

I can understand that. I was just trying to give voice to those of us that would love to have some of those exact vintage pieces in our collection without having to resort to eBay and spending hundreds or even thousands of dollars. Funky has us covered 100% on the figs. I would just love to see someone with talent do the playsets and vehicles now.

Kudos on the recent Masters figures. It's getting hard to keep up! Your design work is spot on and the prints come out really clean. I will have to take a look at sharing some photos, though my collection is pretty unique. I scale everything down to 35 mm miniatures so I do appreciate that your models come out smooth with little to no repair. Still hoping for the "Sleepers", but how about Jarvan, or Chimera? I also think you would make a great looking Black Beard and Monteeg. Keep it coming!

Thanks for your kind words, glad you're enjoying them! Hopefully will get around to a lot of the characters you brought up eventually. Working on Monteeg right now, actually. The more I create, the more things I learn how to do - and he'll be the first of my figurines with actual action-figure like legs that bend in a sitting position, if all goes well.

The Gi Joe Cobra Temple Base Playset has an issue with Main Body #5. It should be a mirror of Main Body # 2 but it's not and will not fit together. Please update your model. Thanks

Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Let me take a look at the distribution STL files and see what's going wrong and get things fixed up for you.

Identified the problem. Looks like I somehow published one of the earlier draft versions of Main Body 05.stl from the project. Updated it to be the correct ST file and verified its notches align with the "ceiling" piece above it. You can also download the one fixed piece from this link:

Sorry for the hiccup.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it and I think your work is great!
As a kid of the 70s who collected Gi Joe in the 80s I'm stunned that Hasbro never made anything like this for Cobra. The Terror Drome was okay but it came out way too late in the lineup and didn't make as much sense as your temple. I'm now sharing my old Gi Joes with my son who loves them so this will be a great addition to our collection. Also to give you some more feed back I think one of the STL files is corrupted. The Throne Room Extension floor doesn't print properly and I tried 4 times. I finally accepted the missing side brackets and if I glue everything well it holds but I wanted to let you know. Again, thanks so much for a great design. "GO JOE!!!"

Hrm, thanks for the info about the extension floor. I'll see if I can figure out what's happening with that piece. As I'm going through my thousands of 3D files I've created over the past decade, trying to figure out which ones were what I used to print with and which ones were draft pieces... it can be really difficult. I'm mostly pretty good about file organization for myself, but sometimes a project is just so big and there are so many pieces and evolutions of them - it gets to be kinda tough to figure out how I organized them all those years ago.

  • 1 Mi piace

That makes sense. I've always been a stickler about file organization especially when I edited movies. Many, many version you have to keep straight. What program do you design with?

Usually I use a variety of software over the course of a project, depending on what I'm trying to accomplish. Sketchup, the old Meshmixer, Windows 3D Builder, Blender, AI tools, Nomad Sculpt, Netfabb... I find I like dealing with specific tools for specific things, and there's no one piece of software that does everything I want the way I want to do it.

  • 1 Mi piace

I figured out the throne room extension piece. I had added in those little things on the left and right sides to cover up the tiny bit of open notches to the left and right sides of it on the main base. Didn't put 2 and 2 together that those little bits made assembling it impossible. :) Updated the part on the product page on here. Thanks again for letting me know.

The software puzzle alludes me. I'm more of the add, paint, grass, trees and life texture to your models and others.

Hello again. Sorry to bother you again about the files. If you have time to look at the file "Staircase (all one piece) I'm having trouble printing it. It's like the file is corrupted. The 2 tall support legs don't print and much of the rest prints with frayed strands. Thank you.

No bother at all. I sliced it okay in my slicing software, so maybe indeed some kind of file corruption? I ran it again through a "fixer" and re-uploaded. Here's a direct link to the piece, let's see if that slices for you okay.

I printed the Gi Joe Cobra Temple base playset but am scratching my head on how to assemble it. Could you please post a link to a video. Thanks

I don't have an assembly video... I don't even have the print. :) I created it for my nephew in 2022, and he has since destroyed most of it. Give me until tomorrow and I'll see if I can put together a little graphic assembly guide for you. It's a lot of pieces, for sure!

Here, I threw this PDF together pretty quick. Hope it will help figure out which pieces go where!

Thanks. I was able to finally figure it out after studying the many pictures.

Hi, I can't find the back part (floorpiece) of the commandcenter. Is this part missing?

Thanks for your message... let's see what I can figure out. Which command center are we talking about? Yavin or Hoth?

Hoth

Hoth Echo Base Diorama Playset

the only floor-file I can find is this one: Command Center Floor (Large).stl 26.1 MB, but I'm missing the back-part!

If we're dealing with the command center area of the Echo Base set, the floor pieces are "Command Center Floor Large" and the other part of the floor is part of the "Workbox" file.

If we're talking about the Yavin Command Center, there are 6 pieces to the floor, this diagram illustrates how the file numbers correspond to to the file names: https://images.cults3d.com/hR8I1yYj41NLXBQ3dSyi9Ev514U=/516x516/filters:no_upscale():format(webp)/https://fbi.cults3d.com/uploaders/18922503/illustration-file/fc1a1996-924f-434e-ad78-47cdd259f69d/Image-Floor.jpg

Hope that helps.

Thanks....that helps! Now I found it. My fault. Its a great playset! Good work and please make more! :-)

Yes then, the two parts that create the floor of the command center area are "Command Center Floor Large" and the other part of the floor is part of the "Workbox.stl" file. Let me know if that doesn't you rolling.

Glad we figured it out. Good luck with the prints and build!

Hi Matey

Long time follower of yours. I'm trying to track down your Add On Pieces for Charveys Home One Briefing Room. I was sure I had downloaded it ages ago but cannot for the life of me find it. And I don't see it here on your cults yet.

Any chance you can help me out please mate?

Thanks for your message. Yes, I haven't re-released the Home One upper walls yet. Will get to it eventually. I'm currently going through thousands of 3D files, deciding what I want to keep in circulation and cleaning them up. It's a very slow process as you can imagine. Maybe ask on my FB page if anyone still has the files handy?

hi i downloaded the droid torture unit and i only got two files for the restraints the rest of the torture rack is missing?

Thanks for your message and for letting me know. Not sure what happened to that third file when I uploaded it all - but I've just re-uploaded it. Let me know if you don't see it now.

I saw your posting on Facebook about the cantina I'm part of the 3-d cult I'm checking out your files for that cantina and it's not in your downloads what gives?

Thanks for your message. I'm not quite sure what you mean? It seems to appear okay here on Cults on my end. Here's the link to the item:

I'm very sorry I have to many conversations going in the cult messages since you posted the link in your message I was able to get it thank you again I apologize

Hey, I love the miniature silent castle. Any chance that gets produced in large scale with rooms? I know you've made a smaller build of those, but making it in this scale would be epic.

Agreed that would be fun, but no plans for that at this time. Something like that takes soo much engineering, especially for it to be printed at action figure size. Maybe one day!

Thanks so much for the reply. Yeah, it sounds like a massive technical challenge. I’ve been hoping someone would take it on since I’m somewhat limited in my design capabilities. Thank you for all the awesome stuff that you design!

Hello there!!!
Would like to Introduce myself I'm Doug.
I purchased the bagged 40 and did a test print. Like it and would like to sell in My model group If u don't mind. Understand if u want percentage of sale and I'm glad to to do that. Please let me know if u don't mind me doing so thank you

Hi, I thanks for your message. I appreciate you reaching out about this. My models have a "Private Use" license. I pasted the information below about that. In my eyes, it wouldn't be appropriate to sell the file (or prints of the file) that you purchased from me since they're designed for private at-home use. However, the way I understand it, you would be alright if someone else purchased the model file from my Cults page and then hired/paid you to print it for them. Hope that makes sense.

CULTS - Private Use

You are authorized to:

Print and use the 3D prints of the 3D model for private use;
Share the images of your 3D prints of the 3D model on communication media such as social networks or websites.

What is not allowed:

No commercial use or public sharing of the 3D model;
No modification or adaptation of the 3D model for public sharing or sale;
No distribution, sale, donation or exchange of the digital files of the 3D model.

Absolutely brilliant! Can't wait to get going on it. Much appreciated!!

This Wampa Cave Diorama is massive. You don't have a version of this that has been cut into more manageable parts?

Yeah, fairly big. I tend not to chop up models these days because some folks have larger printers and it's so easy to divide a model up into parts in slicing software for smaller printers, I like to let folks make their own decisions about where seams end up and connector type. I'll see if I can chop that one up this evening and add to the files.

Added a "cut up" version of the cave; 9 pieces that will fit a 235x235x280 printer (before adding support structures).

Really loving your MOTU stuff. Great to so more obscure characters being made. Keep up the good work. If your taken requests I would love to see Shokoti or Lord Tyrin and Lady Valtira. Cheers.

  • 1 Mi piace

All good ideas. Have actually been working on Shokoti, hoping to have it done before too much longer.

Thanks again. I will be sure to share your link with the community. Hopefully increase your sales. Keep up the good work and keep it coming.

I'm planning on buying this cobra temple once I get comfortable with my filament printer. I would like to have hidden armaments. Do you happen to know if it would be hard to customize a pop up weapon (like a missle rack) using some of the space at the top of the ziggarat temple below the middle/top/main cobra?

I have 2 temple designs.

I think you're talking about this one?
https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/g-i-joe-cobra-countdown-temple-playset-diorama

I think there's enough room towards the top that you could create your own bit of armament to add into it. I'd suggest designing it so it's a rectangle shape. Use a solid rectangle shape to "subtract" space out of the playset (you can easily do this in Windows 3D Builder). Then, move into place your rectangle shaped armament.

If you're talking about the other temple...
https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/g-i-joe-cobra-temple-base-playset-diorama
That might be more difficult since the interior rooms eat up most of the space.

Hope that adds some insight. Good luck learning the ins and outs of filament printing (patience and learning from mistakes is key).

Salve, il file della zucca di Halloween 1978 è grandezza reale una volta stampata?

No, it is a miniature model. I'm sure you could scale it up larger, though.

Hi there love your chip n' dale pluto's Christmas I want to buy the files but not untill it's complete ;p need the Santa that Dale borrows the bears and har from ;p

  • 1 Mi piace

That's a fun idea to add. Will see what I can arrange

On these landscape dioramas like the snake mountain one how is the file set up for printing do you have it cut up into sections ? And do you have it sized up to be compatible with 5.5” origins style figures and playset ? Or is it just one solid small piece and we have to do all the sz scaling and cutting up in sections for printing ourselves ? Pls lmk I’m trying to decide on purchasing a few of your eternia landscape diorama files ok thanks
Please reply asap !!

Many of them are just 1-piece solid models. They're meant to be small model prints, but you could easily scale them in your slicing software however you like. Obviously the larger you decide to make them, the more you'd have to cut them up into smaller pieces, depending on the size of your printer. Snake mountain would be giant to be scaled for standard size He-Man figures. Seems like that one might work better as a background for little mini-size figurines.

1st time i ever saw anyone 3d render the mcshiver mansion from the cartoon.... "lonesome ghosts" .. never thought it would happen!!! i must say you.. did a very good job on it!!! would like to see the brick foundation more defined if you can..... (always room for improvement!!)...... the tower on the back of the house had a french Mansard roof on the top of the tower not straight on the top and 1 support on the 2nd section of the covered porch right side below the tower is missing you may have designed it that way using the house to support it and you built the side entry a little diff NOT complaining just giving a few notes on the design diffs i saw... (this cartoon house was very detailed in 1939 art).. i build a few haunted house dioramas in the past always wanted to build one with this house you made that happen thanks!!!!!!

Rick.

Thanks for your comments. If I ever revisit the model I'll take your thoughts into consideration.

hope soon its a great model!!!!!
