Descrizione del modello 3D
A Lost Legion walker (arms available separately) designed with modularity, poseability and cross-brand compatibility in mind. It can be particularly well combined with the Wraith War-Coffin, with which it shares the core body and legs so all the joints are the same.
This kit contains the files necessary to print the following parts:
- Core torso, including the coffin, cabling, exhausts and hollowed hips.
- Coffin lid with a slot for the head. The size is compatible with most Lost Legion infantry necks, like the Sectarian Helmets, which is also the same size as most enhanced human heads from other brands.
- 3x head options.
- Inner gorget which should be glued in place after the head but before the top.
- Top armour with an optional stun launcher.
- Legs with articulated print-in-place knee joints for easier printing.
- Poseable shin plates that snap in place around the ankles to allow for more freedom of movement.
- 2x feet poses, one fully planted and the other one moving.
- Shoulders with a 5x2mm magnet slot so arms can be exchanged.
- 2x skull familiar poses. These are compatible with all the combi-guns from the Lost Legion range, but this kit includes the following:
- Flamethrower.
- Ionic coilgun.
- Melta impaler.
- Basic gun.
- Guided missiles.
- For the arms, the Revenant has been designed to be compatible with those in the War-Coffin collection.
Besides the compatibility with the Revenant, the shoulder, leg, skull familiar and neck joints are the same sizes as those in the Seraph War-Coffin kit, in case someone wants to make a really crazy kitbash. The shoulders also have the same magnet size.
I've added the torso core outside of the zipped file too so it shows in the preview above.
Lore titbit:
After the first Rite of Unlife that “solved” their genetic flaw through necromantic sorcery, the Lost Legion was judged at the Council of Konstanople, for such witchcraft was usually looked at with contempt by the Terran Empire. To account for their army now being entirely made of unnaturally preserved undead legionaries, they were forbidden to use war-coffin technology anymore, since it was decreed unwise to further prolong their lifespans. However, the ancient warriors that had already been interred in the stasis sarcophagus of such war-machines were allowed to remain in service of the legion, but were now pariahs, the last of their kind, their once proud ranks now tainted by the cold embrace of undeath.
These Revenants of an age past still remembered being scions of Terra in a noble crusade amongst the stars, and despised the fact that their brothers had turned into cold-blooded killers that were mindlessly thrown at the fires of war. Their wrath unquenchable and their hatred eternal, the heavily armed behemoths were extremely valuable to the Lost Legion, since each one that fell could never be replaced.
Impostazioni di stampa 3D
Both pre-supported and unsupported .stl files included for each piece, as well as .ags files so you can manipulate the supports using Runebrace.
I printed mine in Anycubic's gray ABS-like V2 resin (water-wash) on a Elegoo Saturn 3 printer with 0.04mm layer height, 2.4 exposure time, 6>7 lift distance, 45>100 lift speed, 180>65 retract speed and 0,5 wait after lift. There were 5 burn in layers with 25 exposure time and 7 transition layers. However, these values can change significantly between printers and resins, so trust your own experience.
I test printed all the bits available to make sure the pre-supported files worked.
