Descrizione del modello 3D
The Omen Tactical Transport was widely utilised through all sects of the Lost Legion, its speed and manoeuvrability making up for the otherwise reduced mobility of the undead legionnaires. Pivotal to the execution of the legion's signature bold strategies and surprise tactics, the Omen's deployment was so widespread that fully mechanised forces became quite common within the II, to enable their favoured close-range weaponry and melee specialists.
This kit includes all the files necessary to print an Omen Tactical Transport:
- The vehicle's core acts as both a transport bay and crew compartiment, and the interior is fully detailed for hobbyists who enjoy painting the inside of their tanks. Two pilots with separate helmets are included too. The rear ramp is printed together with it, but is actually a separate piece and can be moved if left unglued, including a 3x2mm magnet slot so it stays in place.
- Tracks are a single piece each for ease of assembly, but do have three 3x2mm magnet slots on the side so the doors can be swapped at any point (and more importantly, will be compatible with future sponson releases).
- Both rectangular and circular doors and doorframes are available to achieve different iconic looks. Both of these are the standard size, making them compatible with kits from other brands and artists, both plastic and resin, in case you want legion specific iconography on them.
- The top of the vehicle snaps into place, and can be left unglued to be able to see the vehicle's interior at any point.
- Top doors are standard size too, so are also compatible with other brands. They also have two slots for 3x2mm magnets each so they can be removed (so they can be swapped with turrets from future releases).
- The top also has standard-size hatches, one empty and another one with combi-gun pins. While the standard gun is provided with the kit, many more options are available as part of the Pintle-mounted Upgrade Pack. Each also has a slot for a 3x2mm magnet so you can change them at any point.
- An optional dozer blade.
Impostazioni di stampa 3D
Both pre-supported .stl files and unsupported .obj files included for each piece, as well as Lychee scenes with all of them.
I printed mine in Anycubic's gray ABS-like V2 resin (water-wash) on a Elegoo Saturn 3 printer with 0.04mm layer height, 2.4 exposure time, 6>7 lift distance, 45>100 lift speed, 180>65 retract speed and 0,5 wait after lift. There were 5 burn in layers with 25 exposure time and 7 transition layers. However, these values can change significantly between printers and resins, so trust your own experience.
I test printed all the bits available to make sure all the pre-supported files worked. I took the lessons from the Mechanised Battering Ram and made this kit even more straightforward and pleasant to build, with very few micro-supports and no visible gaps.
