Designed with makers in mind, the model is fully modular. It separates into distinct printable parts: the main truck body, the highly detailed lifted chassis (featuring suspension links and solid axles), and four independent knobby wheels. This smart breakdown allows you to print the body, chassis, and wheels in completely different filament colors without the need for a multi-color printer (MMU/AMS), resulting in a vibrant, custom-built toy right off the build plate.

The download includes standard polygonal meshes ready for your slicer, alongside professional solid CAD formats. These solid bodies are perfect for users who want to modify dimensions, customize the truck bed, or tweak the assembly tolerances in software like Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or Plasticity.

To ensure the parts fit together perfectly and the truck is durable enough for rugged play, please follow these printing guidelines:

Printer Type: FDM is highly recommended to ensure the chassis, axles, and suspension components have the structural strength needed for a functional toy.

Orientation:

    Truck Body: Print upright in its natural position.

    Chassis: Print flat, ensuring the central mounting pillar is pointing upwards.

    Wheels: Print flat on their inner faces for the best surface finish on the outside of the rims.

Layer Height: 0.16 mm to 0.20 mm is recommended for a great balance of detail (especially on the engine blower) and printing speed.

Infill: 15% - 20% for the main body. Increase the infill to 40% - 50% for the chassis and wheel axles to ensure they do not snap during assembly or heavy playtime.

Wall/Perimeter Lines: 3 to 4 walls for maximum durability, which is crucial for the snap-fit/peg joints on the chassis.

Supports: Yes, supports are heavily required. You will need supports under the wheel axles on the chassis, the engine blower overhangs, the wheel wells, and the roof of the truck body. Use Tree/Organic supports for much easier removal and cleaner surfaces.

Bed Adhesion: A standard skirt is usually sufficient.

Assembly: The parts are designed to be assembled via the central mounting pillar and wheel pegs. Depending on your printer's tolerances, use a drop of super glue (cyanoacrylate) to permanently secure the body to the chassis and the wheels to the axles.
