WOuld you consider a price/subscription for commercial use of your models?

Hola necesitaría formar la palabra

FIFA WORLD CUP. EN 5 CM.

Some slicer programs now have a feature to add text. You could probably do this easily in PrusaSlicer, for example.

Hello Abby, thank you for purchasing my model.
Best regards,
Alex

Do you happen to sell commercial licenses for any of your products? I'd love to print some of your designs to include in a not-for-profit classroom box I offer for elementary teachers, but since there's still an exchange of money to cover my supplies I like to ensure I'm properly licensed!

Hello! Thank you for your note and for supporting teachers like me! I appreciate your concern over licensing. I don't have commercial licenses set up at this time. However, if you are selling to teachers and asking for only costs to cover supplies, then it is okay if you use my designs that you purchase or download through Cults3D for this project. I'd love to see some posted makes too! You can share them here and/or tag me on socials: @abbymath on Twitter/X or @abbymath3d on Instagram.

Note that this is specifically granted to AMBIDEXLABS for this particular project of supporting teachers and schools. Anyone else reading this in this public forum should not consider this a negation of the licenses on my designs.

Excellent! Thank you for getting back to me. I'm a former teacher, lifelong educator, so giving back to the schools is really important and close to my heart. I'll tag you with my next shares on Instagram!

First off. GOD BLESS YOU!!! Ive been trying to figure out dual filaments for awhile with little to no success, mostly just waste & frustration. I have a question about that Im hoping you can assist with. Im printing a 2 part object & I would like the lid to match the object, but I can never get it quite right. Ive tried your color disk but still cant figure it out. I feel like Im overlooking the simple here, Any advice?? https://ibb.co/S7v2YypL

Hello! I'm assuming you are referring to my MCFCD (https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/tool/multi-color-filament-configuration-disk). I cannot open the link posted in your message here. The key is to setup the filament and print the disk (the MCFCD) first. Once you see how the orientation of the colors will print, you should be able to set up the model in your slicer (rotate it) to align with the colors as desired. Then print your model without reloading the filament. You want to keep it with the same alignment. You may need to print the object and lid separately for best results. Keep in mind that with any dual or tri-color filament, it can twist when printing. It's best if you use a high quality filament and a high quality printer to prevent unwanted twisting. Sometimes it helps to print something bigger than only the disk first so the filament has time to settle into it's preferred orientation. I hope this helps!

Hello, thanks for sharing your ideas and designs. I asked if you had a version of your ruler in inches. You told me not at the moment. I made a design based on yours. I don't know if you would let me share it on my makerworld, always thanking you. Or if you want me to send you the design and you upload it. I think it would be useful to the community. Thanks for your time. Cristian

Hi! Thanks for asking! If it is only the rulers, that should be fine. I feel like the base unit is more unique. If your rulers work with my base, it would be great if you direct people to download the base from my Cults3D post. Thanks! This reminds me that now that I have larger printers, I could print the ruler I couldn't before and even make a bigger one! 🤔

Hello! Im using your hyperboloid of 2 sheets model for a maths proyect and i need to know the formula of the figure. Could you please give me the formula that you used to create it?

Hello! Thank you for your interest in my designs. However, I do not see any record that you purchased or downloaded this file, so I do not understand how you are "using" my model.

I bought it from a friends account because its a group project!

I understand. As noted in our Twitter/X exchange, I will get back to you soon.

Good morning,

I found this beautiful vase design and file and I bought for commercial use. https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/home/vase-for-stripes-more-commercial-use

Upon printing, I realized it was a solid vase, which is not what I am looking for. Do you have this file with it hollowed out like a normal vase or can I have permission to modify the file I bought to make it hollow? I would really enjoy printing this design. I appreciate it and look forward to your response.

Hello! Thank you again for your purchase. The model file is solid on purpose since it was originally designed for printing in vase mode (a.k.a. spiral or corkscrew mode). Print it with 0% infill and use as many bottom layers and perimeters as you want for thickness. These directions and examples of settings are on the post you linked above. Based on your feedback, I just added a bolder note about it. Thanks! I'd love to see any makes :-).

DAMN i just did the same thing. Just noticing half way through the print!

Oops! I hope that it works out for you the next time.

Since I don’t have 3d printer are there any quadric surfaces to buy already made?

Hello! Thank you for your interest in my designs. At this time, I don't have printed models for sale. However, I believe there are print services you could use, especially if you were interested in one particular shape. The "holders" for the cone and hyperboloid of two sheets tend to be the most challenging items to print in that set.

Did you see my earlier message? I wrote some additional details and will post to your messages page. I am sorry that this model within the set is not working for you with your configuration. If you would like a refund, please let me know.

no no, no deso reembolso The "Holder" was printed with 0.2 mm layer height, 0 top layers, 0 bottom layers, 1 outline/perimeter shell, and 0% infill. No support. No raft. I used Simplify3D for slicing., sale qubradizo poaca consistencia, no as i como la otras piezas que llevan mas paredes y salen perfectas, esta con una sola pared, se rompe apenas tocarla, por eso decia poner varias paredes, que no se puede con el laminador, o yo no puedo

Perhaps a smaller layer height would help. That usually improves thin prints for me when there are angles and overhangs.

Hello! Thank you for your purchase of my Quadric Surfaces Set. I designed and printed these models in 2018 and published them in 2019 before Bambu Studio or Orca Slicer existed. As stated in my description, I was able to slice and print with Simplify3D. I am also able to successfully slice it with PrusaSlicer, although I have not tried printing that yet. The notes with the description for the Hyperboloid of Two Sheets say the following:

The "Holder" was printed with 0.2 mm layer height, 0 top layers, 0 bottom layers, 1 outline/perimeter shell, and 0% infill. No support. No raft. I used Simplify3D for slicing.

I hope this is helpful. If these settings do not work for you and you are not satisfied, I am able to issue a refund within 30 days of your purchase. Please let me know if that will be necessary.

Hi Abbymath!

I purchased your circular cone model (design number 85483) and I'm a little confused with the hyperboloid holder/stand - I do get that you only printed the infill...however, I'm not able to replicate the nice open areas you depict in the pictures (specifically the two orange right cones in the holder - it has a single great opening to observe the intersection.).

Any further hints as to how you achieved the nice single opening? I've tried a few iterations, but nothing shows off the entirety of the nappes and intersection nicely/easily... I have yet to do any real editing of the file, I just want to avoid investing the time and check in first to see if I'm missing anything.

Fun bonus - if I print the holder in "vase mode" (continuous extrusion, single outside layer) its quite nice/structurally sound, but unfortunately not transparent enough (almost!), even when printing with the "clearest" filament I can find.

Using Bambu A1 and their included slicer...
Thank you!

Hello. Thank you for your purchase and interest in my Circular Cone model. The "infill only" print works with Simplify3D and was an accidental discovery when I first designed these in 2018. I have not tried it using other slicers. I'm sorry that it isn't working out for you. I would offer you a refund, but it appears that the refund option for your purchase is no longer available. I might be able to design a holder model as its own STL, but I don't know if I will have time to do that over the holidays. I will give it some thought.

Me again, also once I download it automatically opens in Cura which I dont use. Your other downloads did not do that. Please help.
Thanks, Marsha

That would be a setting on your computer. The file is an "STL" file and perhaps your default program for opening STL files changed. You should be able to open the program you use to set up your prints and import it there. Also, you could try changing the default program for how .stl files open. I hope you are able to figure it out.

hi! I purchased your ornament of cubes and Im not sure that I ordered what I wanted. I just want to print the ornaments not the canister that you can store the ornaments in. Did I download the correct files?
Thanks,
Marsha Sepesi

Hi! Thank you for your purchase. Yes, you downloaded the correct model, from what I see on my sales list.

Hello Thanks for your support and downloads. Now I will be posting on Patreon and there will be some models which will be only available on patreon and also you can get early access to the models. There is also coupon of 25% discount on cults available on Patreon.

design number 252234, Gingerbread Tessellation Cookie Cutter. I am completely confused by the files. All I want is a cookie cutter. Your suggestions on what to print make no sense to me, sorry. What do I print for a cookie cutter in that shape? I don't care about the buttons or face necessarily.
Thanks in advance, Eric Hooker.

Hello. This model is not a cookie cutter. It is a tessellation, like puzzle pieces that fit together.

Hi. My wife is calculous teacher and she wanted me to print the circle base solid with the actual rectangles showing as a visual aid. The 2 primary shapes have a smooth surface rather than the stepped retanuglar surface she is looking for.

Hello! I don't have any models set up like that at this time. However, the circle base with squares "Half" twice is a good option for now. They fit together to show the whole surface and then separates at the middle revealing the square. If you set it up for filament swaps at equal intervals, you can see the squares well too like in the photos. You print it on the square side so the swaps (and the individual layers!) will create the squares.

i am going to run this on resin. i just got a basic FDM Ender 3 to start trying filament. print the cat that came with it, now on a 4 day print

I see. You can still print the "half" two times and the square is in the middle. Good luck!

hola las hiciste con filamento pla ?? a las diadema de unicornio

Hi! I love mane-man and I purchased it. I love two shape tessellations but in order to make a two shape,I am only seeing the “mane”. Is the man without the mane included in your download? Thanks, Marsha

Hello! The "Mane Man" is a single piece tessellation. The "Hair" has a separate model that sits on top of the entire tile for an alternate coloring option with a filament swap. It is the same shape as a Bird and Giraffe together, so you could mix it with those tiles. Please see the photos in post for ideas. https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/mane-man-tessellation

I am a retired teacher and I love the tessellations that you have designed. I used to teach all fifth graders about Escher and tessellations and now my grandchildren are enjoying yours. Thanks so much! Keep them coming!

Hello! Thank you for your interest and purchases of my tessellation models. They are always fun to design and play with. My full collection of tessellations can be found here: https://cults3d.com/en/design-collections/abbymath/tessellations. Enjoy!

Love your work! Specially the math! These are not ads, I have no links with them (just love their work). Do you know about multiboard.io - would be interesting to see your creations here! I use cadquery and build123d, both powerful Python-based CAD. If you combine math, Python and these tools you can do amazing things!

Hello Abby, I was wondering if you'd be willing to sell a commercial license for the Ice Cream Sandwich design? My wife and I run a small 3D printing business that would love to print and sell your design :) Thanks!

Thank you for your reply. I happen to work in a bakery, and produce ice cream wafers. :)
I enjoy this design.
