Hi do you actually sale the siku volvo f7 front grille as a printed item

Thank you for your interest in my design. I added a new version that should fit better immediately after printing and is a bit easier to paint. At the moment, I have no plans on selling these painted.

the container v318 siku is good to

hello wouter i need doors of the old container express 209 can you make them?

I myself do not own the express 209 container, I have the bigger siku v318 container this one used in basically the same parts. The only problem is that I'm missing all the individual parts, so I don't have a reference to measure and replicate the parts from.

If you can help me get on the right track with specific dimensions and detailed photos it perhaps is possible to come up with something, even if the parts are no longer intact.

Hello Wouter, do you also have a 3D model of the firehose unit on top of the SIKU firetruck ?
Regards, Peter

I don't know what you are looking for but I have 3d models for the water cannon on top of the truck.

For display purpose the test prints worked. But the passages are too small for water to pass through properly and get clogged with resin quickly while printing.

Thanks Wouter, found the downloads. I will print it and give it a try; my grandson will be happy i think.

Dear Wouter, I recently downloaded some new designs (tail light assembly and the ladder for 2523) and had them printed. Again I'm very pleased with the results although the ladder came out twice the size. I guess the printshop got it wrong.

High on my wish list is the ladder for the different tanker trucks (e.g. 3718, 3110 and V288). I don't know if or when you find the time for designing this part but I'm sure it will be very pleasing ;-) And please don't get me wrong: I am just expressing my enthusiasm and deepest appreciation for your work. Keep it up.

Best regards, Han

Hello Han, thank you for your positive response.

Sorry to hear that the ladder was not the right size the first time when printing.

I myself use these same STL files and I and have had no problems with them so indeed I think printshop made a small mistake, but it's always a good idea to check if the scale is correct.

I personally own a number of tanker trucks with serial number V288 on them.
These al have damaged and missing ladders but one was good enough to use as an example for a new one to be designed.
I made the 3D model today so I haven't printed it myself to check if all dimensions are correct, but I can share it if you are interested in testing it.

I am thinking of making two version one for models that are disassembled and one that can be glued onto complete models.

Met vriendelijke groet/ With kind regards,

Wouter Kragt

Dear Wouter,

Due to the holidays I was unable to respond earlier. Of course, best wishes for 2025!

In retrospect, the ladder appears to have been printed correctly. I later saw that this ladder is intended for the rear doors and not for the side doors.

Your proposal for making two variants of the tanker ladder seems to me to be an excellent plan. I am not a top designer myself and I probably don't add anything to your design.

A small side step: what I do is recast the windows of a number of Siku models with synthetic resin. This includes the MAN, Mercedes and various Volvo models (N - F - FL). In my opinion, the models look much better with non-tinted windows.

All in all, I am very curious to see what both designs will look like and how they will fit on the models.

Best regards, Han

Hello Han,

Good to hear that the ladder was the right size after all, your post reminded me that I had also made the a 3D model of the ladder you need for Siku 2916 & 3714 models, I uploaded this one right away.

I also designed the wind deflector and the back doors for these models.
However, I found out after printing that the dimensions of the rear doors are not correct so these do not fit.

This is the reason I only share 3d models I have tested myself to avoid disappointment for people who download them.

I'm not sure when I'll have the time to print the new models for myself.

Met vriendelijke groet/ With kind regards,

Wouter Kragt

I have no experience myself with recasting parts in resin but this is something I am interested in.

For example, I think it would be interesting to recast the trailer covers as visible on the MAN model of your profile picture. This because these are quite large and will deform quickly on a 3d printed model.

Hello Han,

I hadn't forgotten your request. I finally got around to testing the prints and have put them online.

Met vriendelijke groet/ With kind regards,

Wouter Kragt

Dear Wouter, I have downloaded some of your Siku parts and had them printed. The parts look great and want to express my thanks for your designs.
Short question: do you have more Siku parts in the 'pipeline'?
Best regards, Han

Thank you for your interest in my designs, I'm working on a number of projects that I still have to test print myself.

Such as, for example the plastic parts for SIKU 2917 Mack and the WaterCannon for the SIKU 3880.

Since it is quite cold this time of year it may take a while before I start printing again since I do this in my shed.

I also plan on designing the Wind Deflector for SIKU 2523 and models who use similar parts.

Dear Wouter, thank you for responding to my message. Although I have a personal ‘whishlist’ for replacement parts I fully understand your situation. I’ll look forward to future designs.
