Hi! Looking at the Redtree Monastery, trying to figure out the print bed size necessary prior to purchasing so I know it will fit on my printer. Can you confirm the print bed size needed to print the components?

Hi there! It was sized and test printed using a 220mm x 220mm print bed size.

Hello! I just purchased The Dragon's Bounty model. I was wondering if you have an assembly guide? (or did I just miss it?) I've never printed anything so big so I could use all the help I can get! I'll also be attempting to print it all with my Bambu P1S so any tips on printing the parts highlighted for resin, on FDM? Thanks!

Hi there!

Thank you for your support! Dragon's Bounty is a very impressive piece, and I am sure you will be more than happy with the results... as far as an assembly guide goes, there sadly isn't one. We're a very small team, and the time it takes to create one would impact our creation of new pieces.

To this end, however, we keep assembly extremely simple. If you print the ship deck by deck, you cannot go wrong - it only fits together one way, both visually and mechanically. If you do have any problems, you can always send me a mail directly at walt@novaminis.co.za and we'll sort thing out.

As far as the resin parts go, I know a few people who use FDM printers to create them, and the P1 is a very capable printer. My advice would be supports are key. While the FDM pieces will print support free, all resin prints are always supported, and therefore they are sculpted with that in mind. So, to facilitate their FDM printing, I would suggest using the UNSUPPORTED STL files, and letting your slicer software provide automatic supports. Once again, email me directly if you have any questions of issues.

Have fun! I hope you really enjoy Dragon's Bounty! And don't let it intimidate you... it might look big and scary, but it really is a sweet beast.

Kind regards,
Walt

Thanks for your swift reply! I'll give it a go and let you know if there's anything I can't figure out once I start assembling :)

Hello, do you do a monthly subscription type deal?

Hi there! Yes we do - it is offered through MyMiniFactory tribes, and can be found here: https://www.myminifactory.com/users/NovaMinis

Hi there, do all your files only have supported versions? I want to print on stl
Thanks!

Hi there. Most of our models have supported versions (only larger terrain pieces are support-free). All of our products also have an unsupported version provided in the package as well.
Kind regards,
Walt

Hi there Lukas,
Thanks for reaching out! For administrative reasons, we only provide commercial licenses to current merchant subscribers on our MyMiniFactory Tribe (https://www.myminifactory.com/users/NovaMinis) or to those who back our FronTiers launches on the commercial tier.
Those that hold a current Tribe Merchant license can add any of the minis they purchase from us to the agreement.
Unfortunately we do not provide merchant rights or commercial licenses for individual minis as this is not a viable model for us to follow.
Kind regards,
Walt

Not sure what happened there, but I have replaced the files. You should be able to download now. Please let me know if it works out, and apologies for the inconvenience!

I’ve never seen that but thank you it worked

Glad to help! Enjoy the print and let us know how it turns out, please. And if you need anything else, please don't hesitate to ask.

Hmm even when I redownloaded the file I still can’t pop it up the file name pops up but when I go to open the two files in folder I can’t even click on it’s just a zip file and a pdf file

All the STL files are included in the ZIP file. You will need to extract them before you can access them - this is a pretty common delivery system, I believe - it ensures that you get all of the files you need in one easy-to-download package. If you are using Windows, you can right click on the ZIP file and select "extract" ... or you may need to get a ZIP extraction app, if that is not an option for you.

hi I just got ruff hut 1 and tried to load to cura and then noticed this is a file only for resin prints? as I'm now reading just wanna confirm if I messed up that's all I wanted to print in pla

Hi there! Just had a look - you should be able to print the standard, unsupported pieces in PLA. Those are the STL files NOT tagged with [SUPPORTED]. You will likely have to use Cura's automatic supports, but it should work fine.

Hi there,

Do you offer commercial licenses, if so what are the prices? I am RSA based and looking to support local.

Look forward to hearing from you

Hi there,

We do offer commercial license through Tribes, on a monthly subscription. The number of licenses is very limited (currently a maximum of 8) and we have none available at this time.

I can inform you if a slot opens up, if you like - here is a link for the details: https://www.myminifactory.com/users/NovaMinis

We also run FronTiers campaigns from time to time, which have commercial licenses not tied to the subscription model (once off lifetime licenses). I can also let you know if any of those come up.

Kind regards,
Walt

We have opened up new licenses on Tribes...

Hi - I bought the presupported nova minis graveyard statue 01 but it only had a single unsupported STL file in the download. Can you please tell me how I access the supported file?

Graham Wood - grwwood@gmail.com

Hi there Graham

Thanks for letting us know. That was an error from our side, which has been rectified. You should be able to access the correct zip file now, as we have updated the product. Apologies for the inconvenience (and please let us know that you have the files you need).

Kind regards,
Walt
