Hey there, I just purchased the Obsidian Wraith kit, yet dont see any supported files in the download. The description says both supported and unsupported are included and was wondering if you could help sort that for me. Thanks! Kit looks like it will be a lot of fun!

Oh my! I never realised. I must have misses that when i uploaded them. I should hopefully be back at my pc tomorrow night so i can look for the files and correct that. I have however just migrated from windows to linux so it may take me a bit to sort. If i cant find the files i will need to redo the lot, which will take more time of course. Bare with me though and i shall get it sorted.

Thanks for bringing that to my attention! Ive upated the design to include a .zip with the supported stl's that i used to print mine. So they should work great for you on what i presume to be a much more modern printer than my old photon!

I want to know because im a total noob, what is the best material to print this and if it matters i have white pla fillament and a creality k1 max printer i scored out of no where for christmas. i need to know settings and what material and possibly a good slicer for this model and machine. thankyou

Wow a K1 Max, id never heard of that particular printer until this very moment. Unfortunately my guy I could'nt tell you a single thing about printing on that printer. From what I have just read you are living in the future with that bad boy! I did not even know LIDAR based bed levelling was a thing until now! It is certainly a league above my Ender 3. I should also say that all of my miniature printing is done with a resin printer (known as SLA) over a FDM printing like you have there as it has always been generally considered better for miniatures on a small scale. FDM for me is more for terrain and tanks that i cant fit on my SLA printer.... Lemme see if I cant find you a link to help you out though... here is a reddit link to somebody using that printer for miniatures (https://www.reddit.com/r/crealityk1/comments/16o6dp6/miniatures_on_k1_max_01mm_layer_height_pla_all/) it may be worth contacting them and see if they can advise you on settings. From what i can see from that post they used the stock settings... which is wild to me. Must be a dam good printer that!

I also advise getting onto the various 3D printing subreddits and asking for advice there. Its where I learned everything I know! some general advise i do know is that the slower you print generally the better the results will be, and patience is king with FDM printing. Good results take a long time to print, even if the companies say you can print at XXX speeds its usually a skewing of the truth, like they can print a freaking square that quick for sure but an intricate model will take a lot longer.

Welcome to the hobby though! If you need any more advise or want to continue this discussion come find me on reddit, drop me a DM im more than happy to advise and help as best i can! (im discordant_lemon over there as well).

can you tell me how to access the files for the light suit samus. everytime i open the download file from cults it opens the slicer tool and i cant access anything else. please help

Light suit Samus? Thats not one of mine! So when you are opening an stl file it will automatically take you to whichever program is set as the default. No different to a word document, a photo or what have you. If you wish to use something other than your slicer to view a 3D file i believe windows has a built in program called... 3D viewer. If you right click on the file then go to open with, then select 3D viewer you will be able to view the 3D file.

What are you trying to do with the STL file?

hey bud i was just wondering is the ceramehk combatant just the one model with the one pose or is there different poses included in the pack, thanks :)

I really need to update the advertising on those older models and explain this sort of thing better! Probably on all my models to be honest! Ha! The arms with weapons are all ball jointed where it meets the breast, and the legs and hips are all one piece in a few poses iirc. So you have a few points of articulation when building, the arms, hips, and head. So you should be able to get them all in unique poses! They are also available in the Ceramehk War host btw. So for a few extra quid you get these chaps and everything else I made up to about this time last year if memory serves me. 13 units altogether! https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/art/ceramehk-war-host-1

Hey Discordant! A year ago you helped me by making the quick and easy dessert heads for space marines! I was wondering if you could make a bladeguard version with turbans! If you could I would greatly appreciate it and I'd even pay for them. Please try to get back in contact with me I appreciate your work!

Hello do you plan on working on any models for the Scary Ghost Arcing Ship or the Lychgaurdians?

Thank you, friend!
This is very good, good luck!

Hello sir! Tbh it was simply because most people i asked wanted pre supported models! I always thought that odd myself, i would much rather do support work myself.

Not an issue my dude. I will update the item/s to include unsupported parts. Bare with me. I am on it :)

Hello, friend!
I bought your necron, an interesting model.
BUT! there are only files with supports. This is a huge problem! Why are there no normal STLs? I can't even see the model elements properly because of this. Maybe you can send normal files without support?
Otherwise, I will have to demand a refund.
