3D 模型描述
The hyperbolic paraboloid is a doubly ruled surface it´s main feature is simplicity of construction relative to it´s striking shape. Any of these surfaces can be simply enough described as the points of origin and termination of an appropriate number of straight lines. So it may be used to construct a saddle roof from straight beams. Therefore we can more easily build organic structures based on this principle.
Which is exactly why I designed this piece, so you can have a small model representation of ruled surface.
It will look great on any shelf or desk as a small sculpture :)
When assembled: (w) 150 x (d) 150 x (h) 140 mm
Beam size: 194 x 5 x 5 mm
Joint´s tongue: 3 different sizes, for tolerance difference (see in pic)
After you find the right size (for me it was 1.8mm) then just multiply it in your slicer. (you´ll need 4 pcs)
After assembly just use any kind of thread that will fit through the hole size of 2,4 mm in diameter. Make sure to do a knot at the end and at the beginning. Then repeat one more time for the other side.
Also I used a bit of super glue for the joints even though it fitted pretty tight. (not necessary)
Enjoy!
