This technique enhances depth and detail in relief models:
Seal with Clear Varnish – Apply a thin layer to prevent dark paint from soaking into raised areas. Let it dry completely.
Apply Dark Paint – Cover the entire surface with a dark tone (e.g., black, brown, sepia).
Wipe Raised Areas – Before the paint fully dries, gently wipe with a soft cloth to remove paint from raised parts, leaving it in the recesses.
Final Varnish Coat – Apply a second layer of clear varnish to seal and protect the finish.
