Introducing the mechanical dice spinner, a fun way to roll your dice at your favourite board or tabletop games. A simple up and down motion rotates the top platform and shuffles the dice inside.
The small tower has a planetary gear installed, which makes the platform spin faster.
It is a very fun little project, which is easily printed and assembled, since a lot of the mechanism consists of print in place parts. The planetary gears for example are already assembled straight off the build plate.

All parts are assembled without the need of any extra parts such as glue or screws, since everything is 3D-printed.
Only if you want to print the little towers windows in a different color, without a multimaterial printer, you can do so by printing it separately and glueing it in place afterwards with CA-glue.

You can use some kind of lubricant to get an extra smooth mechanism, but this should not be absolutely necessary.
There are two different top pieces included, one being an enclosed dome and the other one a railing, which both prevent the dice from falling during motion.

Dimensions of the assembled dice spinner:
- 110x110x143mm (when the dice dome is used)
- 110x110x122mm (when the dice railing is used)

Amount of filament needed:
210g PLA

Minimum printbed size:
120x120x120mm

These settings can be applied to every part:
• Print orientation is already correct and should not be changed
• Recommended layer height up to 0.25mm
• 2-3 perimeters
• No supports
• 10-20% infill
• 0.4mm nozzle
