Hey I have a weird question…what are you using to hold the horns? I know that it says “string” in your bio but I also saw you had something to tighten the string around the back of your head.

Hi There, Just purchased your horns. There seems to be some issue in the file format? If I try open it in Inches, it just never loads, eventually crashes Simplify3d. If I open it in mm format, then it is tiny. I have to scale it up by 100,000% to be reasonable. Are you able to fix the file format, or advise me what the issue might be? Thanks.

Ok i reuploaded the cut horns with correct sizes. lmk if there are any more problems and thank you for contacting me with this issue so it could be resolved.

Hey just loaded, can confirm it's working for the 4 parts - also it looks like you have taken the time to rotate them, so that now they fit nicely on the bed too? Thankyou! That's much easier - it's really quite hard to do that rotation properly with Simplify3d.
(Just FYI the "Short Horns.stl" still crashes Simplify3d when I try and load it, but the 4-parts work fine).
If I may add one other small thing- the naming convention could be slightly easier, e.g "Horn-left-bottom" "Horn-left-top" "Horn-Right-Bottom" etc.

Hi there, I think your articulated skull is amazing! How ever I've been trying to print the top piece yet my prints keep falling, I looked at what you said for how to print the top piece so just making sure, I have printed it with the top of the head on the build plate and the top front row of teeth upwards...is this right? Thanks. OH and will you be making more articulated masks?

i used tree supports in cura slicer. What are you using?

i used regular supports in cura, printed the top half but the hinges did not print to the model, looking at my slicer and noticed that they were not attached the model itself. Any ideas on what i could do to fix this, thanks.

HMM, this hasn’t been a problem for myself or some others who have purchased it but I will take a look at the model itself today and re-upload if I can find the issue you’re talking about with a fix!

You can see in the GIF i connect the top and bottom of the mask with elastic on the sides where the jaws touch and i make a strap around the head at eyebrow height. All attached with hot glue! I will post better pics to display this asap.

habe dies bei E-Bay gefunden: D=10 x h=2 mm Starke N35 Neodym Scheiben Magnete Magnetring mit Bohrung Senkung Loch 3mm.
Verkäufer; 003-supermong. Preis 25 Stück für 4,87 Euro plus 3,57 Porto aus China.
Leider ist die Bohrung an den ausgedruckten Teilen gemessen D=9,8 x h=2,2 mm. h passt, bei Metallwand. D sollte um o,5 mm größer sein.
Bei Nutzung von U-Scheiben mit SPAX sollte eher eine Tiefe h von mind. 2+0,8 mm vorliegen.
Aber Frage, was ist eigentlich magnetisch vorgesehen? Wo kann ich es kaufen? Scheiben mit 3M Tape?

Hallo, guten Abend, ich habe gestern die Schnecken ausgedruckt. Sind sehr gut gelungen. Frage, gäbe es noch die Möglichkeit einer weiteren Schneckenversion? z.B.: eine, die nach rechts- oder links schaut. Oder eine, die den Kopf unten am Boden hat?
Bei den Magnettaschen wäre meine Frage, ob es möglich wäre, jeweils mittig noch eine kleine 2,7 mm und 5 mm tiefe Bohrung anzubringen,
damit auch Ringmagnete, mit 3mm SPAX angeschraubt werden könnten? Dies würde mir helfen, Ich traue den Klebstoffen nicht, wenn verschiedene Werkstoffe mit verschiedenen Wärmeausdehnungen verklebt werden.
Lieben Dank vorab, wenn noch was möglich wäre.

Ja, es geht, die Teile an eine Wand zu hängen. Mein Vorschlag: Dünne magnetische runde U-Scheibe, z.B. Unterlegescheibe in die Kunststoffteile einkleben. Dann in China entsprechend, auch dünne, Ring-Magnmete kaufen und mit Fischer-Dübeln und unmagnetischen SPAX-Schrauben an diese Ringmagnete an der Wand verschrauben.
Wenn jetrzt der Ersteller dieser Pilze und Schnecken noch eine kleine Normung durchführt, so dass höchstens zwei verschiedene, oder gar nur eine U-Scheibenversion und Ringmagnetversion gekauft werden muss, haben Sie gewonnen. (Ich auch)

Vorschlag zwei: U-Scheiben in richtigem Durchmesser und Höhe ausdrucken. Diese gedruckten Ringe ebenso mit Fischer-Dübel n und SPAX an die Wand schrauben. Nun mit einem guten Sekundenkleber Die Taschen und Kunststoffscheiben benetzen und aneinander drücken. Änderungen sind jetzt dann nicht mehr möglich. Demontage nur, wenn Schraube mit Dübel aus der Wand gerissen wird.
