I took the advice of a couple other makers, and scaled up to 120%, realigned the model to sit right-side up on the build plate, and enabled tree supports at 51° overhang. Also reduced the print speed from 50 to 45mm and increased the quality from .2 to .16mm. I printed mine with a 2mm brim, but it's not really necessary. After printing, I don't really think the supports were necessary either, especially with the thinner layers, but to each their own.
This turned out really, really well!!! We were impressed with the increased volume and sound quality, and with the larger print size we can fit modern phones w/ cases in the slot. Phones also fit horizontally if you just want a cool way to support them without the sound boost.
I might print this again, but at 115% size instead.
