  • Configuración del software: Ultimaker Cura 4.1.0

  • Impresora: Anycubic Kossel Plus

  • Material: PLA 1.75mm

  • Tamaño del objeto más grande: 128.6 x 138.7 x 178mm y 159.3 x 137.9 x 32.5mm

  • Altura de la capa: 0.2mm

  • Espesor de la pared, la parte superior y la parte inferior: 0,8 mm.

  • Relleno: 30%

  • Temperatura de impresión: 190 C

  • Temperatura de la placa: 40 C

  • Habilitar la Retracción: Distancia de retracción: 6mm; Velocidad de retracción: 40mm/s

  • Ventilador de refrigeración: ON

  • Soporte: NO HAY APOYO. Ya he creado soporte donde se necesita (Brazo, Cuerpo -3 y Brazo de bloqueo son objeto de soporte que ya he creado, RECUERDA deshacerte de esos soportes después de terminar la impresión).

  • Viajes (Importante): En parte: Cuerpo 2, Cuerpo -1, Cuerpo -2, Cuerpo -3, Poner el modo de peinado en la sección de viajes en OFF. Para las partes restantes, cambia el modo de peinado en la sección de viajes a TODO.

  • Construir la adherencia de la placa: A tope

NOTA: La posición del objeto de impresión debe ser la misma que la de la imagen mostrada

ACTUALIZACIÓN 29 de abril de 2020: Añado 3 archivos STL más: Brazo sin soporte, Cuerpo -3 sin soporte, Brazo cerrado sin soporte PARA alguien que no quiera mi STL con soporte que ya he creado.

NOTA: Con el archivo STL sin soporte, necesita activar el soporte en Cura Setting. PERO para el brazo usted establece "ANGULO DE SOPORTE DE SOBREPOSICION" en 80, el soporte no llenará el agujero para el tubo de carbono de 8mm.

ACTUALIZACIÓN 20 de mayo de 2020: Acerca de la versión del controlador de vuelo. La nueva versión del controlador de vuelo podría no ser buena. Puedes evitar que la versión por defecto se fabrique (parece ser la 3.2.0). Mi versión es: OMNIBUSF4SD (OBSD) 3.2.0 Sep 28 2017 (No he flasheado el firmware a una versión más reciente desde que lo compré). But please leave the propeller guard tour if the print dimensions allow. the engines are 2212. So 12 mm high then the propeller and its adapter.

I can redesign arm for 8" props and I will remove ring for prop's protection as you mention, it will not taking much time. Give me you email, I will mail back you .STL file when I finish

I will try indeed. But without damaging the engine nacelles. the engines are much higher and the propellers will be found above the fairing. If I have to I will put a wedge under the engines to increase them during the tests. But in the end if it works well as I hope I will have to make an impression of these new engine nacelles.

what you can do is to remove protections for propellers and make motor arms longer in order to receive 8 inches propellers.

I just need the motor support arms for 8 inch propellers. I keep the body of the scorpion as it is.
Not possible to redesign the engine mount for 8 inches?

I dont have plan to make bigger version of this drone. You know, bigger propeller will cause bigger frame kit so the weight heavier a lot accordingly. My build of thí version is only 720g. You can find my V2 of this drone, it will lighter around 70g. Anyway, thanks a lot for your interesting in my model :D

I was finally able to make the Scorpion fly!
I encountered quite a bit of problem with the settings in Betaflight. it's finally settled.
consumption is very important. I think you have to test engines that are greedy and run slower. The weight of 740 grs is too important for these 2 engines. Will it be possible to make a new file with the motor support arm for an 8 inch propeller? i am not able to edit your stl file. I would like to test racestars in 1400 kvs and 4 S. they produce 1.3 kgs of thrust and the current consumption will be much better. Tell me if you can generate this file. Do you know what the total height would be if I combined body-2 and body-1 so glueing them together wasn't needed? Or see any reason why I shouldn't do that?

Body Arm without support easier to peeled off support by cura (of course you need to turn on support on cura, set overhang angle to 80 degree)

Hi, the Scorpion has been built and is now waiting for good weather for the first flight. at the moment there is only rain and strong wind. the 3d printing, mainly from body-1 and body2, was a bit tricky and is not exactly stable. could you please give these two parts an extra wall?

Don't use PLA-LW on pieces like arms as the PLA-LW is more fragile. You can use it on piece which will not recieve strong efforts (tail, canopy, inner structure...)

You can use PLA-LW to reduce weight. You can also (I guess) reduce filling percentage and also make holes into some parts in order to reduce weight.

You guess right, hard for me to design for long time flight, if i want longer flight time, must use lower kv motor version, but lower kv must use bigger propeller for same thrust, hence bigger frame 3D printing so it weight more...and so on. Ideal version is kit made plastics much lighter than PLA and use smaller and lower kv for less power consumtion

Thanks for the answer about flight time - I've already purchased a model and were just about to print it to play with my son. what makes the flight time so short? I guess it's a combination of the weight and batery capacity. any chance it could grow to 10-20 mins ?

I use 0.4mm nozzle size. I set 0.2mm layer height. I think if you set >0.2mm, Support I've already created might difficult to separate. For my printing, very easy to separate them. File Arm.stl should not print with support turn "ON" in Cura because support will fill in the hole for carbon tube. Give me your email, I can send you file Lock servo, Body -3 and Arm without support if you still want it, you can print it with support setting "ON" in cura, BUT again, file Arm.stl should not print with support "ON".

HI, great work this looks amazing! im having some difficulty printing and was wondering what nozzle size you used if i could have the files without supports as im struggling to get them to separate.

Could you list out the individual number of parts to buy? As well add in an a document listing out how many and which item is used where? As I want to be able to review later on without needing to consult a video.
