What a complicated mechanism for a simple 7 segments display, love it !
It reminds me the area of the first mechanical computers.

I couldn't find 1.2mm nails in my local french shop? I used 1.1mm instead so the fittings are somewhat loose but still working (I used heat shrink tubes to help fiw a few nails)
