Make's Description

"Just a couple of high school students trying to make a difference with local prostheses." #BCN3DCULTS

A total of 80 hours of printing on our school's printer; after about 2 hours worth of online processing in the Eiger.io slicing tool. In an effort to perfect the automation of prosthetics, we printed both an exoskeletal hand, and a prosthetic hand. The prosthetic takes readings from the exoskeletal hand when hooked up via flex, tension, and force sensors; to be connected via an Arduino system..

As a matter of fact, the files are already out there. This is the culmination of 2 different projects, which I modified, printed, and turned into a functional prosthesis. The link to the claw is: https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/gadget/3d-printed-exoskeleton-hand , and the link to the prosthetic element is: https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/tool/hand . Best of luck!

If you want the glossy matte, you can probably do some post-processing, but in my case, elements that I wanted shinier, I utilized simple PLA, and for those that needed more stability, and a matte finish, I utilized Onyx fiber from Markforge.

This is awesome !
Do you plan to share or sell the stl files ?
