3D model description

This is a mold to make two different sized triple tail grubs for fishing. The lures are designed to match 1/16 and 1/8oz jig heads and the finished baits if stretched out are about 3 and 3.5 inches long respectively.

There are two different version of the mold included.
The 4 Cavity mold requires 6.5" x 2.5" print area for each half.
The 12 Cavity mold requires 7.0" x 6.75" print area for each half.

These are 3D printed plastic molds so you have to be careful with your temps and injection pressure. I printed this mold in PLA+ and try to inject my Plastisol at or around 300°. (I use Dead On Plastix's brand of Plastisol) You also need to use very little pressure on the injector when shooting these types of mold. If you use a lot of pressure when injecting a 3D printed Mold... you can/will blow through the mold. Start light and work up with the pressure if you do not get a full injection or you have bubbles. It's better to have a misformed bait or two than ruin the mold.

I print these molds in PLA+ with the following settings
(You'll have to experiment with what material and settings work best for you.)

Filament = eSUN PLA+ Temps = 215/60
Layer Height = .20
Top Solid Layers = 8
Bottom Solid Layers = 3
Outlines/Perimeter Shells = 5
Infill = %25

Hello, what is the approximate amount needed in milliliters to fill the 12-cavity mold or what is the capacity of the injector that you recommend? Thank you

I did the calculation in Fusion 360 and the amount need to fill the mold looks to be under 2oz so a 4-6 oz injector should work fine. I'll double check this and try shooting it with my 4oz Injector and make sure it's enough and get back to you later.
