This is a simple pen holder, that should work with pen-shaped items up to around 12mm diameter. I plan to use it for putting etch resist onto pcbs.
2x M5 nuts
2x M5 bolts (at least 15-20mm long, can be longer with no problem)
2x thumbwheelcap.stl (optional, hides bolt heads, but has no functional purpose)
I sharpened the end of my bolts on my lathe, but this really isn't necessary.
Simply glue the bolts into the thumbwheels, put nuts inside the channel (they should be a snug fit, but you can always glue them in), optionally glue the thumbwheel caps on, then insert pen. I haven't tested this yet because my printer with the quick fit carriage isn't fully built, but it holds a pen very firmly.
