A mini retract unit for RC planes.

Trunnion01 is an 85° trunnion.
Trunnion02 is a 90° trunnion.
Trunnion03 is a 95° trunnion.

Retractbase02 has a large base for spreading the load under foam wings.

Remove the support blocks shown in the illustration from the trunnions and the retract bases after printing, with pliers. It's easy to remove.

Use 1,5 mm or 1,6 mm (1/16") steel wire through the arm and trunnion as hinge and guide pins. Use a 1,5 or 1,6 mm drill in the holes first if the holes are too tight.

Use a regular servo to operate it, but make sure it operates freely first by cutting or sanding away any flash or bumps.

The trunnions fits 3 mm legs.

Use an M4x6 grub screw in the trunnion to hold the landing gear leg in place. Make a flat spot in the landing gear leg to ensure it does not rotate in the trunnion.

Clean up the slot in the sides of the retract bases until they are straight and parallel so that the guide pin in the arm slides freely.

Print everything solid and at slightly high temperature for strength. No extra support is required. PLA is fine.
